What was the Pelicans record with Boogie and AD last year? Don't remember. I mean they started off 1-4 then finishes much stronger.

Being optimistic.

Covington, Redick and Hill are all unrestricted free agents. Of course you would have yo dump Asik, Ajinca and possibly Q pon. I'm sure all these players would rather play for the Warriors.

I feel like we should have a pretty good idea within about 15 games if the AD/Cousins tandem is going to work IMO.

Not that it will be perfect, but I just put almost no stock in last season.

They barely got to practice together and it was clear early on Gentry was not comfortable with using them both.

Chris Finch is like the perfect guy to bring in to try and make this work and if it doesn't take, I would want to trade Cousins by the deadline....Unless it is clear other issues are at fault(cough Gentry).

Covington is not a UFA. Philly has a team option on him, and will likely attempt to extend him.

Philly has already exercised their team option on him. Like you said, they are looking to extend him not move him.

They are trying and offering him 4/39. It is a big money rise from the minimum deal.

He is a wing. It might be smart for him to wait. His agent probably will ask him to do it.
IMO he can get Solomons contract. Or even more

Yea, that's a lot of money if you're coming off of a minimum deal. I think he could probably get more if he waits, but wouldn't blame him for re-upping with them.

I thought about starting my own thread asking this but I figured it would fit here....

I remember reading in the interview with Chris Finch thread that last year after about 20 games of getting used to the system that the team started to get really comfortable with the offense.

If that's the case, should we expect it to take 20 or so games for the offense to start clicking? What should we expect the learning curve to be?

he's worth more than that, imo.
he is silently one of the best defenders in the NBA. Everything about his game is better than Solomon Hill's. I think he could easily get 4/60 from many teams.

I don't know, but the first 20 need to yield better than 5-15 results (or whatever it was we were last year).

I don't expect them to come out firing on all cylinders, but they need to play at least .500 ball until things start to gel.

Per David Pick - Patric Young just signed 2 year deal with EA7Milano in Italy.
There was some talk about him and Pels.

And some were without AD. And maybe they go 12-10 if Jrue doesn't dribble off his foot vs Denver
