Yeah, earliest we even have to consider the tax is 2018. But yeah, if we show we are real contenders by then and Benson is somehow still alive, he might go into it

Oh, and by the way, CP3 is signing with the Spurs next summer. You guys can pencil that in right now. Have been hearing that for a little while.

A player I really like joining a great, relatively humble team that I respect. If SA didn't try to steal the Saints away after Katrina, I wouldn't even mind that. But they did, so they can all eat a dick.
And I know a lot of people have been on the "let Jrue walk if CP3 wants to come back" train, but if Jrue stays healthy and plays like he did last season post all star break, I'd prefer keeping him over bringing Paul back. We could sign Jrue for the 4 year max, and when he's done with it, he'd STILL be a year younger than CP3 is now. I don't go after CP unless you know that he can convince Durant (nope) or Hayward (maybe) to join him. And in that case I'd imagine we'd be forced to use a pick to dump Asik. Haven't looked into the situation much since it's so improbable, but may have to give away Hill or Moore on top of that (IIRC, the Dunc'd On Podcast said we'd have $30m if we renounce Jrue's cap hold, so dumping Asik = $41m in space, and Paul's max will be very pricey considering his experience). If CP3 is even remotely interested in coming back, it's probably because at least one of those two is playing well enough for us to be a middle-tier playoff team.

And this is an insanely overlooked issue in the near future. Better hope for 3 things:
1) Tom's accountant played around with his money enough to severely limit Gayle's inheritance tax (which is the most immoral of all taxes, but that's a different thread)
2) Rita and friends didn't already frick up the financial future of the franchises (alliteration!)
3) Gayle isn't a tightwad.

Gayle is a spouse. No inheritance tax.
