how do yall think Lee would fit into Gentry's system and would it even be a good fit personnel wise?

always enjoyed david as a player, just not sure how well he would fit here and if its even possible personnel/contract wise.

He's still a solid player, I'd take him for cheap. Not sure how exactly he'd fit in though. Would have to tweak the lineup quite a bit with us already have AD and Ryno playing the 4 with loads of minutes.

He comes with a 15 mil salary

I think he doesn't fit.

I would take him, but not at that salary.

He's a guy you want on your team for the vet minimum and not a penny more. If his on court contributions lead you to one or two wins over the course a season then you got all you can hope from him.

Could he start at the 5? If so, replace Asik with him. Not sure how his defense is though. Anyone want to vouch for that?

not sure what your question is...it has the value of the 30th overall pick. its an asset

david lee is a good player...he doesnt play defense but neither does gordon (or anderson for that matter). what he does do is rebound his position very well, and he can create his own shot

now anderson is moveable and you have a 1st rounder to attach to him for a wing?

Lee and Barnes for Ryno and Tyreke or Gordon.

it's a horrid asset b/c at 30 you get a player that will be in the D-League or Europe for a few years... and probably may never be more than a bench guy at best

I need more... much more than you're offering to get rid of EG

heck... picking up Lee kills the 1 thing that we'd need if we're moving Gordon... cap space

ETA: and you're basically bringing in Asik's evil twin... in that he can get a respectable shot up but can't play D

whereas Asik can't shoot to save his like but is a much, much better defender

and both can get rebounds

What do you do with Ryno then?

All that does is trade Gordon's shitty contract for Lee's, but now we have 3 PFs and no SGs. And the 30th pick doesn't provide nearly enough value to offset that.

At this point would Anderson and the pick get you any more value than Eric Gordon?
