It's hard to watch and don't even know what to suggest to fix it aside from getting rid of Monty

did you not just hear coach JVG say this team is simply not good enough to make the playoffs in the loaded West? Do you not value his opinion?

I mean dallas is killing it from three right now. Not much you can do but you can't say we have too much talent for this.

I love how Monty hasn't drawn up a solid in-bound play all season but of course on a national broadcast he draws up 2 of the best plays I've ever seen in his career w/ us. Unfortunately Ryno missed the 2nd one to tie it up.. Monty knew he had to be on his game last night..

Agreed, as much as I hate Monty he called a great game last night.

You do realize that the west is stacked. I mean our division is absolutely loaded... The southwest will make up 4/8 playoff teams. This team is simply not there yet. The bench might be one of the worst in the league. I cringe watching the second unit most nights

People who just casually pay attention to the NBA don't understand this. The 6th seed in the West right now would be tied for 1st in the East. Oh and let's not forget this little tidbit:

Being in a division that has 5 teams and 4 of those 5 teams have over a 70% win percentage is tough. The Pelicans are victims of circumstance right now. If they were in a different division or especially if they were in the East we would be quite pleased with this team.

ok so the west is stacked. so when we miss out on the playoffs we just hang our hats on this? yes the west is loaded but we have arguably the 3rd best player in the league. we shouldn't have to settle because "the west is stacked:"

Not settling, it's his 3rd year in the league and we are on an upward trend. Too much doom and gloom around here, did anyone honestly look at this roster and say, "We going to the ship!"? We knew we would be fighting for the 8th spot and now we are there trying to fight for it people are freaking out. We are 2 wins from the 8 seed which is the only realistic seed we have a shot at right now with how everyone else is playing.

did anyone look at this roster and think we would have 3 20+ point losses and 5 double digit losses in 21 games. i'm not one of the Debbie downers I believe in this team but it ain't all sunshine and rainbows

I understand this and I'm not trying to pump sunshine by no means. This board has just become a rollercoaster. One day it's "Tyreke is amazing", next day it's "Blow this thing up we're terrible" the whole while the plan I saw many people discuss on here that the plan was to sit around .500 until the last stretch of our schedule when things were easier and make a push to make the playoffs. Right now, that's what we're doing.

i don't think it's so much about the record than about how terrible we have looked in some of the losses

I'll agree there, we've looked awful at times, but then others we look unstoppable. If they could find a more consistent level of play we would have a better record.

No, but you can hang your hat on improvement.

2010-2011 - 11 of 30
CP3 Leaves
2011-2012 - 28 of 30
Davis comes
2012-2013 - 26 of 30
2013-2014 - 21 of 30
Right now - 16 of 30

To compare --- Kevin Durant and OKC/Seattle
2006-2007 - 26 of 30
Durant comes
2007-2008 - 29 of 30
Westbrook comes
2008-2009 - 27 of 30
2009-2010 - 12 of 30

And you kinda know the rest. Even with one of the best players in the league it takes time.
