Even with one of the best players in the league it takes time.
The West was just as stacked for CP3 but he made the playoffs in year 3. That year the 8 seed won 50 games and the 9 seed won 48. I don't know if you've seen my new Win Shares thread comparing year 3 AD to other stars, but this team is getting one meh bench player's worth of production out of about 40% of the salary cap. Gordon and Tyreke are killing this team's chances at the playoffs and if we miss the playoffs there need to be consequences, not moral victories. A new coach and GM can appreciate the improvement the other players have made. Hopefully in a situation like Steve Kerr taking over for Marc Jackson and the team going crazy on the rest of the league.

We even had the #1 seed in hand with a week left to go in the regular season back then before losing it.
GS this year looks much improved (granted they have a new HC)
Rockets look good despite not being 100%
Memphis and Portland look improved.
Phoenix could be the new kids on the block if they can hold up.
It's really time for this fanbase to wake up.

And where were they through 21 games? I know it isn't the same, but they would have been the 8 seed right now in the West. This is around the time the 07-08 team started to hit their stride. They went 18-4 through the rest December through January and went 42-19 the rest of the season.
Tough stretch of games coming up but ... One can hope, right?

I agree that there's too much doom and gloom right now and the season isn't over. But unless something changes this team is going to fall short. Tyreke either needs to play smarter within the team or Ryno needs to blowup. Preferably both, or trade Tyreke for some good depth at the deadline.
