And it's no surprise as most of us knew it would be an issue. I'm not even worried about the other stuff we saw tonight - it was the first game for our new linueup and players. However, 18% from the 3pt line is atrocious. And less then 10 points combined from Hill and Moore is not going to cut it. I actually think that Casspi should start over Hill. He's not the Defender that Hill is, but at least he can space the floor.

Once we add some shooters to this team, we will be a strong contender fellas

We all knew this. We made no moves for shooters aside from maybe Casspi. We have Asik who doesn't play and Poindexter who will never play

The missing pieces are perimeter defenders that can shoot a decent 3

I mean the lack of 3pt shooters is an issue, but it's not going to be this bad every game.

People are overreacting. All the perimeter players we have shoot much better on average. People need to calm down.

Yeah, people are acting like this team is worse than it was a week ago when they swapped Cousins and Casspi for Buddy and Galloway.

I will say that we need a better attacker than Holiday. He did have an especially bad game, but I don't think people are giving the Rockets defense enough credit. They didn't make anything easy for the Pels. If you plan to move the ball it will be fine, if you want to run P&R Holiday didn't look good enough to create offense against a tough defense.

Definitely, I mean you can't use tonight as a barometer for anything. I'm still very much excited. I've seen a lot of plays this year where the pelicans showed ball movement that was on par with the spurs. The potential is there, just going to take time to reach, fan base needs patience.

Asik
Pondexter
Ajinca
Jones

That's 4 guys who will see little to no playing time going forward. That's a lot of wasted roster space and cap space. Granted, Jones will be waived, but I doubt whoever we pick up in his place will have a huge impact or anything. This trade made us razor thin everywhere else for this season. All we can hope is that this doesn't tear our core apart and we see some improvement from everyone else.

With the casspi news I think it's time to waive qpon somehow and go after guys like MT5/Chalmers or the others on the market

Hollis will help when he settles in too

The core is AD and Cousins. Everyone else is replaceable, but no one wants any of them.

All of that. Rockets are good. Pels were nervous/feeling things out.

They need to keep moving (on and off) the ball. Get it to Davis/Cousins in favorable spots and then go from there.

They can't solve the fact that they don't have enough shooting right now for when teams double/sag. At times, they will just have to let it fly and hope a guy like Hill can hit enough. Not great

Defense will take time. Rockets are good. Baby steps when they need wins is a weird spot.
