We're going to end up in the playoffs, aren't we?

36-46, 8th seed, swept in 4 games, miss out on all top prospects, draft 5th year senior from Boston College

the rockets are 2.5 out of first. what if they somehow take over 1st seed and it's pels v. rockets in the 1st round.

If we played the Knicks every night we might be 82-0

Making the playoffs would be great for the city, the young players, and the morale of this team. At some point you got to start seeing some progress, and believe it or not this is not a bad team, i really look for them to jell after the all-star break and play some good basketball.

I would be more inclined to believe a playoff series would do us more good in potentially acquiring future talent.

When healthy this Pels team will not tank.

So don't expect any top pick (barring injury or lottery luck).

In 'good circumstances' (low probability) Pels might squeeze into 7th spot (OKC is one Russ injury away to slip, Memphis might loose something)

So most probable outcome is 8-10th spot in the West.

Hopefully without giving up a pick.

It is also great for AD (8th spot) - he will direct team to the PO and earn his All Nba honors...

Like it or not - this is how it goes.

Only variable is injury or Milsap-like trade...
But such a trade will not give us higher PO spot...

this confirms you're a real Pelicans fan, I couldn't agree more!

I am cool with however our team does

just don't trade our draft picks for some quick fix expiring contract player

I prefer our team winning and making a playoff run.

Buddy and Brogdon are doing just fine.

What's the difference if we make the playoffs and draft 15th, or miss the playoffs and draft 11th, assuming relative health to AD?
I'd rather make the playoffs.

Now if we are talking make the playoffs and draft 15th, or miss the playoffs and draft 6th, then i'd kind of wouldn't mind missing the playoffs to get a better pick, but i have a hard time not wanting to win.

FYI, you have about a 60-70% chance of getting a star player in the first 5 picks. around 30% in the next 5 picks, and around 15% in the next 10.

Last night @AntDavis23 (40 PTS, 18 REB) became the 1st player in the shot-clock era (1954) to have 40+ PTS & 15+ REB in less than 30 mins ??

AD is going to drag this team into the playoffs. I just pray that the Rockets get the #1 seed. As I have said before, that would be fun for the narratives alone.

I want the team to play well. As long as we don't make a trade of our limited assets to try to secure the 8th spot, I am happy if we make the playoffs.
