I don't think Smith is necessarily wrong. Evans is better w/r/t vision, penetration, and durability. Holiday makes less dumb decisions, but they're still there.

Holiday is the better player because he'll play defense. But Evans is better on offense IMO.

quote:

his assists usually come to players in the lane or close to the goal. He hits the corner 3 guy on occasion. He needs to look to the perimeter for open looks

Is there a guy on the team that looks for those shots? I think that is more system than player error.

quote:

Williams has one year remaining on his contract and a team option beyond next year.

What the Pelicans should do, and soon, is announce they're picking up that option for the 2016-17 season, thus endorsing the work Williams did this year in improving the team's record by 11 games and giving him an additional year of job security that he unquestionably earned.

Found this in the middle of his year end article. I've never heard anything about an option in the 16-17 season...

And in another article from ESPN's Marc Stein says it again LINK

quote:

His bond with Davis, in particular, has been well-chronicled. Bear in mind, furthermore, that Williams essentially has two years left on his contract, with a team option in 2016-17 to follow next season's guaranteed campaign in 2015-16.

And another quote from Stein about Demps contract

quote:

Like Williams, Demps actually has two years left on his contract, with a team option in 2016-17 looming after next season. ?There have been no tangible signals that his job is under any real threat.

So what's the truth?!

You

"sports writers" and delusional fans can try to pretend that an absolute Beat Down and Humiliation did not take place last week on National TV and that you can "take something positive" from it ....... but the Fact is the Pelicans were EMBARRASSED on all levels .

@Semi Biased Pels Fan I agree, I would've prefered not even making the playoffs than getting swept. How embarrasing..

Hmmmmmm....

The Sixers have shown they are willing to trade anyone. Do you think they would let us have Nerlens Noel back for a future 1st?

quote:

@whodat1976 Don't you think the Sixers have taken enough from this team already?

quote:

Smith: Regarding Asik, I definitly wouldn't give him a lot of money. I think Ajinca can fill the hole and is a much better offensive player. He can also block shots and defend the rim.

Does this dude watch any games?

quote:

And everyone who wants asik gone... what do you suggest we do when we play actual sized centers? (gasol/howard/pekovic etc.)?

@Cameron Dreyfus Ajinca

No more chat sessions..... the season is over and the pain of being anhiliated before a national audience is beyond expression... We all looked like fools wearing those red & white t shirts while the Warriors were toying with us and snickering behind our backs..... I personally find North Korean propaganda more factually accurate and intellectually stimulating than all the Pro Monty garbage thrown on this site the past few days. I am boycotting this chatting session!

Which one of y'all is trolling jimmy

I still think in game both Gordon and Tyreke need better coaching.

Obviously when Tyreke is stalling the offense in ISO it can be easily remedied by coaching, but Monty just lets the stupidity continue.

Gordon has games where his shot is not falling and Monty doesn't do more to change his game that night to more of a ball handler instead of a spot up shooter to get him going. Gordon should walk the ball up more nights.

I really don't like Tyreke as the team's starting PG, but if he play up to the level that he has played this season while coming off of the bench in a Jamal Crawford type role that would be ideal.

I'm aware that he wasn't very good in that role last season, but maybe that will change.
