I don't know about well known, I've only seen it mentioned once or twice in passing since Monty came here, but it was mentioned in a way that made it seem like it's been public for a while. Is anything that came out pre-internet well known?

As someone who is firmly on team Karl, I gained a ton of respect for Monty reading that article...

Yeah...I feel bad for bad mouthing him.

He's a great person, very caring about his players, but he just doesn't cut it as a coach. Too bad we can't keep him on the Karl Pain Train as an assistant...

I wish Monty was a better coach. He's such a great person.

Great read. When all of this happened I knew he was going through hell, but you really don't understand how bad it is until you get the details (or if you've been through it before I guess). Reading this article, really shows how far Ryno has come through all of this.

Monty's part in the story is truly heartwarming. He was integral. The abuse part also begs me to forgive him for his short tempered nature towards the people in New Orleans.

Great piece. Im tough on Monty the coach but have always known he was a good man. This just reaffirms it.

That injury came at the worst possible time is his life, damn.

Screw that girls dad. Wish nothing but the worst for him. Sounds like a grade-A loser. Its crazy the pressure that must have been on a 25 year old Ryno to be the loving male figure that she never had.

What a despicable piece of shite.

I can see child abuse and his mental issues forming a very jaded view towards those not close to him. It's well documented he's a dick around town. I'll forgive him as he's obviously got his own demons. Some run away from the problems, others try to live for others, some make it back to a semblance of normalcy, and others just never learn how to let go. Monty seems like the last of those.

ETA: he is not the coach for this team but the way he handled Rynos situation should be praised.

Not really. People have posted mostly dumb stuff then call him a dick because the team hasn't been good so they don't like him.
