I agree everybody is going to watch that team either hoping for them to lose or on the wagon.
I do not want the Pels to tank. If we are going to try to win with AD we need to start winning. Everytime a team tanks it seems they need at least 2-3 years to make those assets work.
Go with the team we have and see what happens. You never know, if we stay healthy who knows what we might beome. Plus as we have seen injuries can change everything.
Its just that tanking guarantees you nothing. Golden State missed the playoffs 5 straight years from 08-12 and missed on several high draft picks. They didn't really turn things around until Curry was in his 4th year and they had just recently drafted Klay/Barnes/Green. From 2012 to now, they continued to improve each year.

I'm convinced that you're a big fantasy/comicon type; not that there's anything wrong with that.

There are no guarantees w/ any team building strategy. What gaining high picks does get you is more lottery tickets. You aren't contending for a title w/o hitting on a high pick, which don't always pan out.
And even then, the Warriors needed absurd luck (coin flip to keep #7 (Barnes) after Madsden level tanking in 11/12, Curry ankle issues allowing for more cap space, Curry going from all-star to death- destroyer of defenses, Green turning into All-NBA player, David Lee getting hurt so they could get Green on the floor, massive cap spike (no smoothing), etc) to be this good and to get Durant w/o losing their core
Now, the time for the Pels to buy lottery tickets was 3 years ago. They passed. They could have even done a version of it this past January/February, but they passed again. By their own design, there is no more time for them to play the long game.

Probably the exact opposite

There is also no more time for impatience. This offseason has been solid, keep playing as slow as you can. If you have to replace Fraizer with Larry Drew II so be it. Don't burn assets for guys 7-10 in the rotation when Demps has gotten those guys pretty cheaply and pretty consistently in the past.

Talking championships this year is a load of crap.
I am more concerned with putting together a system and lineup that mesh well and building towards some success that convinces role players to join us.
The 1 spot isn't an option with the Warriors' starting five but we could be realistically in play for 5-8 and most non-Warrior teams in the West seem to have regressed this offseason between losing stars, losing bench depth, or questionable acquisitions of the walking wounded like Ryno, Gordon, and Bogut.
All we can really do is try to put together a system that plays to the strengths of our cornerstones like AD and execute it well.
Trying to put the cart before the horse by aiming for a title this year would be counterproductive, as would tanking since teams like Philly in the East have perfected that shite.

Honestly wouldn't be upset with a tank year. This next class is going to be great according to the people that know. If we had 1 more crack at a top 5 pick we could have a really legit squad.

For how many more years?

No.
the only reason to tank is if there is a stud on the horizon....we have one, AD.
I don't see any ADs on the forever taking 76ers.

okc losing KD is bigger to us than gs gaining KD
gs will beat our arse with or without KD. we can take okc w/o KD, though.
