OKC missed the playoffs because KD and Westbrook got injured the same year. You never know when opportunity will arise, I say we get as good as we can while maintaining our flexibility and hope someone else thinks teaming with AD is their only path to a title.

This team is never winning a title regardless. Again, let's just try to enjoy the next few years. If you win 50 games and a round in the playoffs, you had more enjoyable nights than bad nights. Shoot for that

Extra playoff spot just opened up. Pels can be better than OKC IMO.

Thats what I was thinking. GS and OKC were clearly 1 and 2 if KD had stayed. Now besides Golden state, SA, and maybe LAC, the next 5 spots are up for grabs. Just hope we don't end up at 8 again

OKC without KD is still a 45+ win team.

45 wins isnt enough to get in the playoffs in the west most years lately.

What does it even matter? Pelicans aren't getting past this Warriors team even with God on our side. What matters now is how we prepare for the future. Preparing for today will set this franchise back so far that relocation is prominent when the arena contract is up.

I think Dell will see it the other way. Seeds 4-8 are up for grabs now. If his 2017 1st rounder can get a needle mover, I think he will do it

Title became impossible, but playoffs became a little easier, and the latter is all it takes to save his job, not the former

If that is the case, then why didn't he move the 6th pick for a player? I am not entirely certain he will have the ability to move the 2017 pick to save his job. I would think it would ahve to be a bigger name, not a Rudy Gay type or other expriing player.

The Pels were never going to win the championship this season anyway. That doesn't make this season any less interesting to me

This move makes the Thunder worse, and also makes it more likely that Westbrook will leave next season.

What if you could get Vucevic for the pick and Asik or Ajinca and scraps? Or Tyreke and the pick for a guard who can help now and be insurance if Jrue leaves?

I think he will explore
