Durant or no Durant, we may have a better shot at passing the Mavs than we do OKC.

I'm about to take 8th Seed to the betruhm and deflower her in her bootyhole. Y'all can do what you want afterwards.

been saying we are likely gonna end up in the 6th or 7th spot for a little while now... just looking at the relative age amongst the teams involved, and the trajectories each team is currently on, the Pels are in a good spot... just gotta keep winning and control what you can control...

We're still 4.5 games behind the Mavs with, what, 18 games left? I just don't see that happening.

they have 1 of the toughest schedules remaining... and Rondo hasn't exactly been the spark they were hoping for... and Amar'e's already starting to call the team out (and he's only been there long enough to get a cup of coffee)

things aren't all rosey in Mav-land

last nites thunder loss increased pels chance at 8th seed to 47% while controlling their own destiny. a win against the nugs regardless of what rustle does bumps that up to 50%

going 12- 5 the rest of the way home virtually assures a playoff spot, and MAY result in keeping the pick. HUGE month upcoming for this franchise and its immediate future

Agreed, huge month. 12-5 is a tall order. The schedule is going to get rough...

It is, but I think there is a high chance of opposition tanking down the stretch.

April 7 vs Golden State
April 8 @ Memphis
April 10 vs Phoenix
April 12 @ Houston
April 15 vs Spurs

Golden State, Memphis and Houston could well be resting players to try and pick their playoff opponent. The Spurs will most likely rest their starters on the last game of the season without anything to play for, and Phoenix will be out of the playoffs by then so they may be in development/experimentation mode.

no one will admit to this but it happens every year.
i would guess nobody wants to see durant/westbrook in the playoffs regardless of what AD is up to. memphis however you would think wants no part of the pels at 7, so likely would not rest players on 4/8, especially with the pels on a BTB

Yesterday afternoon the guys on Sirius XM's NBA channel wouldn't stop talking about how nobody wants to play the Spurs and Houston would probably rest players to let Portland keep the 3 seed.

considering the rox lost the tiebreaker to POR last nite, that seems even more likely now. this is going to be a tense month, i hope its fun and not disappointing

12-5 would be great but I don't see it, more like 9-8

I think 9-8 is more unrealistic than 12-5. I have us winning every home game down the stretch minus the Warriors (finishing 7-1 @ Home) and losing to teams with a better record on the road (finishing 4-5 on the Road). To go 9-8 we would basically have to not beat a team with a better record than us home or away the rest of the year, and since we are now playing our best ball I find that extremely unlikely.

vs Denver W
vs Bucks W
@ Suns W
@ GSW L
@ LAC L
vs Houston W
vs Kings W
vs T'Wolves W
@ LAL W
@ Kings W
@ Blazers L
vs GSW L
@ Griz L
vs Suns W
@ Rockets L
@ T'Wolves W
vs Spurs W

I think that's very realistic and puts us at 11-6 which means we end up at 47-35. That's really dicey to make the 8th seed. 48 is kind of a magic number in my book so 47 is really asking for help from the Thunder.
