Amin Elhassan > Lowe
Amin Elhassan is a jackass who thinks he's funny and clever, but he's not. When he's just talking basketball he's fine. Too often he's talking at people, not to them, because he always thinks he's the most brilliant guy in the room.

Tom Haberstroh's been doing some good work lately. But SBnation's staff of nba writers shits all over espn's, who's content sits behind a paywall and consists of nothing but numbers you could get for free at basketball reference or nba.com/stats

I'm not a guy that shits on espn because its a cool thing to do, but their nba coverage is embarrassing, considering all the resources they have. They pay like 5 guys to tell you how many 3 pointers every team shoots, and nba tonight just kind of randomly comes on espn2 whenever they can fit it in, usually after midnight and without an actual set.

all of those dudes are nerds on Twitter

I'm talking about meat and potatoes articles and analysis here

Lowe always just states the obvious and strattles the fence on everything. I like more hard hitting opinions

Not the dudes i listed. The nerds are the espn guys like Ethan Straus, who might be the biggest douchebag around.

Thats exactly what those guys do. Read their stuff. I make it a point to not follow guys who clearly only have a job because they're good with a computer.

Sure, Lowe's not a guy that would ever come out and say "Monty sucks" or something like, but that's being a professional. He does his job instead of trying to get a week on First Take.

SBNation kills it on nba coverage
ziller, flannery, prada are all excellent

Kevin draper and albert burneko do a good job on deadspin as does their statistics blogger. Goldsberry on grantland is must read.

Other sites I read are nylon calculus and hardwood paroxysm
Matt Moore and zach Harper on CBS
Andrew sharp on grantland

haberstroh was great during the playoff series when they put his stuff in front of the paywall

Agree with all the others already mentioned.

Just depends on what you're looking for:

In game tweets- Nate Duncan, Voulgaris, BBallBreakdown

Cap- Coon and Deeks

Analysis via advanced numbers-Seth Partnow, Ian Levy, Schumann

Gossip- Stein, Woj

General league Pulse- Aldridge

Esoterica- Bethlehem Shoals, Myles Brown (miss FreeDarko.com)

Wish Pruiti would quit coaching and bring back the old NBA playbook.

ETA: Rob Mahoney, Howard Beck, Chris Ballard are all very good too.

I ask this because Lowe was talking Paul Flannery and said "when the Pels get serious Anthony Davis is going to be the 5" Flannery disagreed, but it's on the latest Lowe Post Podcast.
