CP3 back to NOLA - CONFIRMED.

I remember Jacks time here, but forgot his game, was he considered more of a pass first player? And was he good on D?

I guess this means that a TJ trade is imminent, don't have any roster spots open otherwise, unless we decide to part ways with Qpon.

Runs an under control offense as a combo guard. Good mid-range game and minimized turnovers. Defense was solid iirc. Good locker room presence.

Average defender.
I like the move purely from a leadership standpoint too. We're assembling a very stable environment and I think that's the biggest thing we're overlooking.

He was ripped by about half the fan base the year he was the starting PG because he's not a natural PG. He's a lot more like Holiday/Tyreke in that if part of the play is to pass they can make the pass, but if it breaks down they aren't going to find a pass in the chaos like Frazier can.

No, he was bad on defense when he was here 5 years ago, I imagine he's worse now that he's older and slower. I've always wanted to see him come back because he's got some great vocal leadership skills, but I do question how well he fits a defense and pass first team.

If they do sign him, it will be as much (or more) for his locker room/off court presence

CP3 back to NOLA - CONFIRMED.

He was really good at that. I remember him basically stepping up in games and doing the kinds of vocal leadership things everyone wished CP3 would do more of.

Also is a guy who can help now and have no money on the books beyond this season. They are gonna really try this summer

Try for what? Sign a 4th $25+ million player, or are they still planning to trade for as good of a young vet scoring wing as the 2018 pick will get them?

All of the above. Whatever is available. They are putting themselves in a position to do whatever is out there

It feels like everyone is waiting for the Dominos to fall (George/Butler). We'll probably be hearing about last minute deals 20 minutes past the deadline.
