A top ten all time player should never hit free agency due to money.

New Orleans got a great player from being a terrible team. They are still terrible and can't put the pieces around him to win anything meaningful.

Oh ESPN

ETA: Twitter's even worse:

@ESPNSteinLine he better decline lmao.

@ESPNSteinLine no point in accepting now, number can go up in the future.

@ESPNSteinLine they should get him help or he should go elsewhere...just sayin.

@ESPNSteinLine why would he sign when cap goes up next year

@ESPNSteinLine Why are people willing to sign these contracts if in a year they can make double or triple when the salary cap rises?

He is staying. He might take a one year extension now and then a max deal after the cba. Although taking the max now and leaving the team what ever the difference is to acquire talent would actually be pretty perfect.

Jrue, Tyreke and Gordon must go. all three of them are probably the worst "used to be really good" players in the league. and sadly, Monty Williams needs to go, too. get Ant some help! meaning a few guards that like to pass and play defense.

Hopefully he leaves. He'll never win with Gordon and Evans on the team. They're two cancers.

Hey look,3 people that know nothing about the pels

Yeah, everyone is just dying to join the Rockets. I hear players all the time saying, "I would love to leave 50 million dollars off the table just to play in Houston!"

this is the only legit question I have

the new TV money is about to go up big time... would it behoove him to take a 2 year deal (player option 2nd) and try to make the beyond big bucks when the new money comes up?
