Why do we always get GSW so freaking early? 3 years in a row now

The optimistic side is that we'll see just how much havoc Boogie and AD can wreak on Golden State. On the flip side, if we lose, everyone is going to overeact per usual.

Doesn't the season start on the 17th? This might be our second game.

That's just the TV schedule, not the whole NBA schedule for the first week.

I'm pretty sure there is usually just a double header to open the season, then a day or two later, all of the teams play regularly. It will be very interesting to see how they spread out the schedule given that it's starting roughly two weeks earlier.

Yea, I looked at last season, and every team that played on the Friday of the first week also played earlier in the week. Both seasons started/will start on Tuesday.

Lesson to other teams, never hire a coach from a dynasty. The NBA will make you play them game 1 of the season every year.

Rather play them early instead of having to possibly play them twice near the end of the season when we're fighting for a playoff position.

Golden State at home isn't the first game, Memphis on the road is. Last time they played Memphis Cousins went HAM and dropped 41/16 on them.

Look how dejected Gasol looks in the background, he knows he can't handle Boogie.

7-3 to open the year...

Call me crazy but we can go 4-1 in opening 5 games.

Portland always has a pretty strong homecourt advantage. I'd be happy coming out of the first 5 at 3-2. I do think 4-1 in the next 5 is doable.

I can see 8-4 7-3 start if we can compete, but the question is will they pull it off? We have just as much talent as anybody minus GS and Cleveland untill they trade irving... And also if we pick up melo...that really changes alot! Hmmm

I think 6-4 is conservative for the first 10 games. I'd be happy with that, though.
