Bridges is going to get some of the best defensive coaching imaginable in college.

And make no mistake, that guy can jump out the gym.

Edit: Also, the guy who I won't be able to ignore going forward is OG Anunoby. 6'8" 230lbs with a 7'6" wingspan? Those measurements break positions. And he seems to move extremely well.

No telling the player he could become.

I don't think this team would benefit much from an Aaron Gordon type player

BUMP

Since it's looking like we're not getting a top 8 pick, can we add some people to the OP

Lauri Markkanen should definitely be in discussion

We're like 2 games from bottom 4. Can we just stop trying for a two week period so we can lock that up?

We need a SF and we gotta do something about asik/ Ajinca/ the ghost of Dante.
I'd be down for just about any of the top 3-5 SF

We better pick a Sf and not a frickin PG with our first pick. We can always keep jrue,or find someone else that can be adequate. Easier to find a adequate PG than SF.

We also need to hit on one of the two second round picks again.
Need to look for that experienced guy, someone like Blossomwhatever from Clemson.

Getting rid of Asik/Ajinca/Hill contract is more important than getting something for jrue/Reke, imo.

How do we do that if we're picking 9-14? Og Anunoby's injury may make him stay in school. The only other SFs in the teens on DX are an 18 year old euro and 2 guys listed as SF/PF which usually means undersized PF in a bad way.

- Do you trade the pick completely?
- Trade back and draft someone like Blossomgame? Would Brooklyn take on Asik to move from say 26 to 11? They have plenty of cap space so I think they'd be stupid not to. If we don't want to draft a guard or a big, it might not be bad option.
- Draft a center (Long term is AD a C or PF? We still don't know)

Well we can't really be too specific about who we can get and at what slot. The current mock will be very different from the finished product by itself and the Pels have a great shot at a top 5 pick and a decent shot at not even being in the lottery. It's fun to speculate about, but heck, there's a realistic chance that guys like Anonuby and Giles don't enter this year and someone like Bacon, who is mocked in the early second, finds himself hovering around a late lottery pick and becomes a great option for us.

I was assuming we are picking in the top 6 or 7 when I said take a SF.

To me, you draft the best player available, regardless of what you think the need is. There's nothing wrong with having another all star level PF, if he's a sure thing. If it doesn't work out with AD, you trade him, or AD. He's still an asset. If you draft a SF and it's a reach, and he doesnt pan out, then you got nothing.

We shouldn't worry about position at all. AD can play two positions and nobody else matters.

Sad, but true. We just need good young talent. Plenty of minutes being taken up now by guys who are either leaving or scrubs.

We don't even really have to do too much tanking. It's like a 1.5 game difference. How are we not doing this in maybe a 5-6 star player draft and we only have to "tank" for like 4-5 games?

If we can somehow keep Lance I want whoever's left between Smith, Ball & Fultz. If we can't keep Lance, Hill's gotta start & I still want one of the PG's. Let Jrue go. He'll cost too much

because there are teams ahead of the pels with ZERO interest in winning games...none.

suns/magic/lakers/mavericks/heat all will be throwing games. the 76ers may not, and the kings/wolves act like they are trying to win, but otherwise it will be a fight to the bottom

unless they sit davis for extended time they'll win at a .450 or so clip from here on out which will put them at 10 or worse

We shouldn't either

It's not like he gets hurt every other game and gives us a valid excuse to do that.

But we do. Holiday is in a contract year and while AD is getting nicked up and leaving games as often as ever, he's not missing games after like he used to. This team is not getting a top 8 pick unless a serious injury happens to AD or Holiday.

In the 5 games Jones has started for AD he's averaging almost 25 ppg. AD going down isn't a guaranteed loss.
