Holiday is in a contract year

Yeah trade him so we don't have to overpay to retain him and draft Smith, Fultz, Ball, or Fox. Or Issac, Tatum, Ntilkina, Markannen. What do we gain from likely finishing 10 in the west or the unlikely, getting blasted on by the Warriors?

What a waste of a golden opportunity

In the 5 games Jones has started for AD he's averaging almost 25 ppg. AD going down isn't a guaranteed loss.

I'll take my chances on an L without him

He will NOT translate to the NBA well. Lou Williams/Jamal Crawford clone

Dude is gonna be the next undersized elite scorer in the NBA, only a 6'3" SG but he jumps like 2 feet in the air on every shot
Could also be developed into a PG role in the NBA

I would say Williams and Crawford are pretty damn good NBA players, both have won 6th man of the year titles

And also, Jamal is 6'5" and Williams is 6'1", Monk is in between that

You know how this board is. You're either elite or you better be making the minimum.

ATL, Jrue has been playing really well the last week or so. If he keeps this up, will the Pels try an move him at the deadline for a legit asset? Any word out there?

The better Jrue plays, the less likely they move him. They want to keep him as a core if they believe this is just him turning the corner and finally getting Gentry's system. I would say 1% chance he gets moved as of today

The only "word" I've seen is Zach Lowe saying they aren't certain they'll be able to resign him. But I just think Demps and AD are all in on Holiday.

Holiday is a good guard, but he's not going to get you anything better in return unless your goal is tanking. Even if they get far enough out of the playoff race I don't think they'll go full tank. You just aren't going to sell AD on trading a core piece unless its part of some blockbuster deal bringing someone like Jimmy Butler back.

Gotcha. That is kind of frustrating. He's leaving this offseason. Demps is a retard.

Monk is 1000x more athletic than either of these guys.

It pisses me off that I have to see this in fricking February.

It's time for Demps to go, if he wasn't gifted a no brainer in AD (which had to be handed to him by Stern himself) this team would be a dumpster fire.

Wouldn't mind the Pels taking Justin Jackson in the early second round if he fell that far, dude's got potential

We don't need to spend the time to develop a second small forward if you know your first round pick isn't going to bust.

Or we could have two good young small forwards instead of one good one and a shitty one off the bench
