About damn time. Those two need some reps

It's just for tomorrow's Squadron game. They will rejoin the team in Philly before Monday's game.

We play Pacers on Monday, so they should be back in NOLA Monday to rejoin the team, then fly out to Philly with them.
Definitely good to get them some reps though.

Honestly, I kind of wish they would send NAW too. He either needs to work through the funk he’s in or get reps playing a different style, specifically more of a facilitator and less of a scorer.

Feel like that also has the chance to backfire.
NAW of late has played a good bit more restrained(for NAW that is), and I would worry sending him to the G League to beat up on a team would simply make him think he can be Harden-NAW all over again.

No doubt. NAW is much better with a limited role. Having him be the #1 option in the g league will only mess with his head. Last game he took 4 shots, had 4 assists with 0 turnovers. I like that NAW much more than contested-step-back-3 NAW.

I think NAW needs to learn how to played in a controlled setting and he's getting minutes doing that (~20 MPG a night)
For him, its about getting bad habits out of the way (smart shot selection, correct passes, etc)...in the G League he has the green light to do anything --- which we've watched earlier this year and it is not good.
TM3 and Naji on the other hand just need flat out minutes and they're not getting it night in and night out.

How many top 20 picks get sent to the G-league their first year? Nice pick.

I'm not sure what to think of Trey. The skills and effort are there, but did they just draft another basketball idiot with no feel for the game?

Kuminga and Moody were both sent there multiple times this year by the warriors.
Josh Primo
James Bouknight
Kai Jones
That's just this year

Can you imagine NAW in the G league? He would be taking 100% of the shots

The jump from the G league to the NBA is insane. Naji and Trey look like Lebron and Wade down there.
Murphy: 33 PTS, 11 REB, 5 3PT
Naji: 26 PTS, 13 REB, 9 FTM
Murphy: 33 PTS, 11 REB, 5 3PT
Naji: 26 PTS, 13 REB, 9 FTM

Well TM3 went for 33pts 11 Reb 5 3PT and looked like a man amongst boys tonight

I think Trey is going to be alright. He just needs some time and reps to catch up to the speed of the NBA. I’m glad at least he’s staying warm tho.

People just put way too high of expectations on the kid.
I remember arguments from before the season started and a large number of people were talking about him like it was a foregone conclusion he would walk into the league and be a plus contributor knocking down threes, playing plus defense with ease and quickly becoming a starter or key rotation player. Cited as a reason why it was certain this team could be a strong playoff team and our shooting was fine.
Fact is most players simply aren’t plus contributors their first season. But I stand by that when the dust settles he will be the best first round pick we’ve made so far besides Zion. Which isn’t to say he’ll be an elite player, but I think he will be a rotational 3 and D player within a couple seasons.

Well that’s pretty sad considering the players we picked that were available with the numerous first rounders we had under Griffs regime….

Watching him I’d forgotten a little bit that he’s such a good athlete. Numerous finishes above the rim in addition to 3 pointers. Hopefully that potential isn’t a mirage….

I've never been worried about Trey living up to his potential. Very few guys are positive contributors their first season. He just needs the reps.
