Bill Simmons today on his podcast said divide all these contracts by 2 and they'll make a little more sense. Kind of crazy but it's true

Is this the best deal of the day then since he got about 8.5 a year and bums like Lin get 12?

would you rather the owners get the money or the players?

Pretty clear we're going after a type this offseason

I guess I can't wrap my mind around a world where marginal players make $8 million plus a year. This is just stupid. And by this, I mean the new NBA salary range.
It's math. The national TV deal is going from $900 million to $2.6 Billion overnight. If your company's main revenue stream tripled overnight and the company was contractually obligated to give half of revenue to the employees, you'd have a bunch of marginal employees driving Lexus and Mercedeses all of a sudden.

How about getting rid of guaranteed contracts?
Posted on 7/1/16 at 9:21 pm to ghost2most
you can't
someone has to get all this money
there is more money than players to spend it on
how is this difficult to understand?

IM not sure why anyone would care either way what these guys get paid.

healthy...
neither player has had any injury history
of course now that means they'll both have limbs amputated before their deals run out

Healthy, defensive, good attitude/locker room types
Trying to change the culture and mindset of this team

I asked for the Blazers method I guess I got what I wished for.

I like this one, especially once they get Tyreke off this team. Gives them a guy who can play so Buddy doesn't have to put up 30-35 mins from Day 1. Also, could start in a pinch at the 1 or 2, play 3 in super small lineups because of toughness.
And they saved some cap space so they could match a decent Frazier contract or they could give it to Ennis. Or, in a dream world where they dump Reke, they can get a quality big.

E'Twaun Moore shot an insane 45% from 3 last season on ~2 attps per game. Only a career 37% 3pt shooter, but even that is welcome for Pels

Is there any possibility Tyreke gets traded within the next couple of weeks
Posted on 7/1/16 at 9:34 pm to LosLobos111
just saw that

Moore is a scrappy 6'4 guard who carved out a role for himself as a bench player throughout his five-year career. Moore spent his last two seasons with Chicago, averaging only nine minutes per game his first year there but putting together his best all-around season last year. Moore averaged nearly eight points in 21 minutes per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 45 percent from behind the arc.

I feel like we got the small forward and point guard version of Quincy.

If a team is willing to say they dont care if he is healthy to start the season, they can move him. And this is why Cleveland has always been a favorite for me. Their season doesnt start until May, so they don't care if they have to wait on him a few months.
