Absolutely. Monty was just fired from what is probably his dream job after doing a somewhat admirable job. With that in mind, the OP made a thread to thank him for the good that he did here, yet some people can't help but act like little dickheads.

Watching Monty have to be interviewed by a fricking Mackel just moments after being fired and seeing how he handled it and how gracious he was, that tells you all you need to know about what kind of guy he is. I'm glad we're getting a new coach but I'm going to root for him to get another shot at it.

I haven't seen the interview, but anyone that takes this thread as an opportunity to rub salt in Monty's wounds is just a shitty person. I have worked with some nearly useless individuals over the years, and while it was warranted to fire them, it's always tough to see a person go through that.

I was happy for him the most after the San Antonio win. I'm grateful for the kind of person he was for this team. He was an OK coach, who was getting better, and I thought deserved another year, but I have no problem letting him go.

Not a great coach, but he is a great great man. He worked his arse off to make the Pels successful too. Wish Monty absolutely nothing but the best.
