depending on who they have to trade, they could jump to a top 5 seed. we will have to hope for portland to go on a massive skid. they are playing the bucks close right now. need the bucks to pull it out, especially in portland.

They will be very good with him. Dallas is one of the teams that someone mentioned would have to collapse for us to sneak in the playoffs, assuming OKC passes us up.

Starting PGs in the SW Division if this trade happens:

Rondo
Parker
Holiday
Conley
Beverly

how is that even fair

The rumor is Brandon Wright and at least 1 1st round pick.

Damn, I figured Rondo would be worth more than that.

he's walking after this year, so it's something better than nothing.

It goes from about 5% to 0%.

Mavs are the only team we can catch.

True, but Brandan Wright and a pick that will likely be in the 20's is a shite sandwich.

I'm not saying they won't settle for that, but the reason this is leaking isn't because talks are serious, it's because Boston wants Houston to up the offer. If I'm Boston I'd rather grab 2 of Houston's young guys than a late 1st and 3rd big. If the trade isn't about to go down and we're hearing about it, one side is using the media against the other. It's propaganda, not a play by play.

if he has to go to either, i'd rather him in Houston. 1) he's not as good of a fit there and 2) dallas doesn't get better.

They have Monta playing de facto point as it is, especially late in games. Putting the ball in Monta's hands as much as they do, which has been their bread and butter, makes Rondo worthless.

They need to upgrade Harris/Nelson, but I don't think Rondo is the guy.

How would the mavs make 2 ball dominant guards work?

I also think BOS will get a better package tbh.

Definitely, but with Terrence Jones' injury I'm not sure who the Rockets could give up.

Support. Harden needs the ball too much.

I have my doubts

Monta has had the ball in his hands so much. How easy will it be for him to buy in?

The NBA really does need to take a serious look at conference realignment. It's absurd how much the West outclasses the East. On any given night, scroll down the score sheet on ESPN and curse as you see the West utterly dominating the vastly inferior East. And the teams in the west are so good they can barely lose to each other. The OT games have been almost nightly now. So frustrating.
