Upvote - This is literally worse than the Katrina season and I can't stand this fricking team. frick Demps and Benson for rushing this shite - how can a team with Anthony fricking Davis be this unpleasant to watch?

Baw health shouldnt be a fluky thing anymore. Jrue was never going to be fully healthy to start the year. New system and a tough opening schedule have made us a better team now. We can go on a run dammit.

what better way to see what Gentry can do with potential free agent signee Ryan Anderson, than to let him get a FREE trial of Ryan Anderson on this team down the stretch!

Think about how much he is worth going into an expanded cap year.
He is lighting it up... only making $8 mill right now... and his cap hold is going to be $12 million? so he's not keeping you from signing someone huge next season, and then still resigning him too for $20mm+ ... Those bird rights are SO damn sweet.

Rudy Gay isn't enough... because we will have that same option... and same ability to sign... a Harrison Barnes... and then resign Ryno...

Teams are just going to try to sign him in the offseason. Great for us! We can sign and trade him then if we find someone else better suited for the team...

Maybe someone throws a 2nd for EG in a sign and trade after the season... Now we have 3, that Dell will use to do something...

Gentry is going nowhere... the only reason any of these players are moving, is if it yields a SH$T ton of ammo, or it moves Asik...

Seeing what these guys can do together under Gentry without a stud SF, so we know who to draft or sign to add to them, is more important than getting a KJ McDaniels.... Ryno loves it here... he's going nowhere.

It could be when it's all home games in a soft part of the schedule.

This is definitely a factor, but that also describes much of our remaining schedule.

shite, we only play one team with a pulse (bulls) in the last 7 or so games of the season.

Like I said in a previous thread, as long as we win every game we are supposed to win, and dont lose every game we arent supposed to win we could be going into the last stretch of games looking to move up rather than fighting for our lives. Obviously that won't be easy, but effort, focus and good health (lol) from here on out and things could happen.

Apparently, if you enjoy seeing the team play well and get better, you're foolish unless the team is a contender.

Not really.

Seriously, though, you have to admit that the posts arguing that it's stupid to pull for a win or be happy when the team does win are obnoxious. That's what I'm referring to.

And, you're still being a little hostile. Not sure why.

Unless we make a trade for a guy that becomes a starting long term piece next to AD and Jrue that clicks, like Rudy Gay being the SF we're missing, I can't think of an outcome to this season that is more detrimental to the long term success of the franchise than making the playoffs. Too many changes need to be made and making the playoffs sends the wrong signal about the state of the team, in addition to making our pick #15 rather than #10 or lower.

You may or may not be correct. That said, however, I abhor the idea of tanking. In fact, I consider it fraudulent, and it should be actionable by the league and other authorities if it can be established to be intentional.

I'm not in charge of rebuilding this team. I go to games to watch players play hard and be competitive. It's more fun to win than to lose. I'm not sure about the "wrong signal" you're referring to. I don't think anyone is deluding themselves that we don't have a ways to go.

I completely understand and "get" theory behind the argument, but I don't give a frick about it.

I'm not even talking about tanking, I'm hoping the teams with a lead on us keep that lead.

Demps needs to go for sure simply because we need someone with a 3 year time horizon making the decisions.

Frankly, if I had to bet good money, I'd bet that Demps is still here after this season. Not saying it's good or bad. I'd just be surprised if that move is made.

Only way demps is gone is if the shite hits the fan.

With the way our schedule is going forward, the only way we miss the playoffs is if we lose a bunch of games to some really shitty teams.
