Don't want mike Conley either..

Lou Williams on the cheap $8-10 mil would have been the better spend even if he is older..

Agree but his 27pts would have came in handy, even though he is not what we need.

Outside scoring , opens up inside play..

6pts and 7 turnovers for $25 mil is not what we need..

Adding an All-Star SF

I hope that was sarcasm. I can't tell anymore on this board.

If he were to keep up 16 pts 7 assists 4 rebs with Boogie and AD, i would gladly max him

ETA: keep in mind, the Pelicans have very little outside scorers, so it is very hard to see how good Holiday could possibly be with some space

Jrue was always 2 to AD, but now with Boogie here......Jrue is a very very very distant 3rd, maybe even fourth if a Hayward or butler or McCollum would sign...

well that's just about all he had in philly and he made the all star team and took them 7 games deep in the eastern semis vs Boston I believe. Also take out his rookie season and 16/7 is about what he has averaged since 2010.

In 2013. Was that year? The only time he has been an all star, we cannot live on 5 year ago. Ask tom benson how Peyton and Brees are doing after that 2009 Super Bowl ring...they thriving the team is not..

the issue is Benson, if he's willing to pay the necessary money to build this team we can do it.

Benson has never been a tight wad as some believe. The only time there were money issues was when Jim Finks was running the show, and that had a lot more to do with Mr. Finks, than the check book. Finks didn't buy into the FA model. He fumbled plan B and operated, in limited scope because of his sickness, very miserly in FA.

Well if thats the case we should definitely pick up a few nice pieces to go along with our current "big" 3

With that said, you cannot expect the team to operate over the cap for an extended amount of time. The only team doing that is Cleveland, and their owner is starting to balk at LeBoo.

Operate over the cap or the luxury tax for an extrnded amount of time?

Operating over the luxury tax long term requires some stupid money.

I want Ricky Rubio to be this teams point guard and Jrue the sg/pg (combo).

Rubio can be had for a future first rounder and is only making 14M next season.

Stretch Asik and get rid off Ajinca and Q-Pon.

Then add guys like Cunningham, Casspi, D-Mo etc using tgevMLE, RE and 3.5M trade exception.

Re-sign Jrue with bird rights to go over the cap.

Rubio/Frazier
Holiday/Moore
Hill/Casspi
Davis/Cunningham/Diallo
Cousins/D-Mo

Yeah, I think people just repeat terms they hear and don't understand what they mean.

I meant luxury tax.

I don't think we need an offensive juggernauts at the guard positions; however, I think they need to be good 3pt shooters. Is Rubio really that guy? Can he be that guy?
