PER is best indicative of a player's individual performance in games, and as many of you correctly surmise, on the offensive end. It's good for describing the impact a player has in boxscore statistics but little else.

Right.

So do you wish more charges taken and tipped passes were taken into account?

How else are you going to measure a player than using boxscore stats?

This is the second time Boom has said I know him IRL, but I have no idea who he is. I'm not aware of knowing any 13 year old Rocket/Seahawk/Cardinal fans.

Yea that means less than nothing to me, that guy's predcitions have no impact on how HOU plays.

Davis' season > Howard's season

Davis' through 2 years > Howard's first 2 years

Davis' offense > Howard's offense

Howard's career > Davis' career

that's comparing 10 seasons to 2 though.

No one is arguing over the length of Dwight's career he's better. Everyone will admit that, but one guy is starting to decline be it from age or injury, and another is rising up. It is okay boom, at least you have a first round playoff. That's better than any of the pels

Give up the trolling, bunchy. Howard had a higher PER than Duncan this year. I guess Davis is better than the greatest PF of all time too.

Thats what it looks like to me

I was using Duncan as an example for those claiming that Davis is better than D12 because he had a better PER one year(Bunchy in particular). Once again you can't win the argument at hand so you slide it a wee bit to make it look like an argument you can win and then get up in arms.

No, Davis's PER this year wasn't just better than Dwight's this year, it was better than Dwight has ever had.

There is a difference between the two.

ah, there you go losing an argument so you attack the person rather than address their points.

technically he has always stuck to his gun and said davis has had a better PER than dwight has in his whole career...

all of which, is true.

Davis is a better offensive player than howard. no one is going to prove otherwise. Now if someone said AD's offense was better than LMA, BG, or KL than they're high.

I guess you aren't bright enough to figure out what I was trying to do.

I don't think that Davis is better than Duncan.

My argument is that bc Davis has a higher PER than Howard this season that doesn't mean he's the better player. I used Duncan as an EXAMPLE only. You changed the argument to say that I said Davis was better than Duncan. Then you made the argument that because Dwight has never had a PER as high as AD's this year that meant that Davis was the better player even though Dwight has 3 DPOYS, has lead his team to the finals, etc. All of which Davis has never done. Surely you can see my frustrations with you(?)

You always had your own sense of humor I'll give you that. Sometimes I can't figure out if you're being funny or not.
