I'm not the one that gets driven by the attendance bs but I'll give it a shot. As you know, people seem to not to care.

Firstly, the team has not been good for a while. And it seems you have to related people with something for them to come no show support.

You know the saying, if you build it, they'll come. Well if we continue building a reputable team, fans will show up.

And/or get someone good/big named in the draft or through offseason moves so the bandwagoneers can have a horse to get behind.

That's just one man's thoughts on it all.

What is the capacity of the Arena in OKC?

And there is no one here that thinks attendance doesn't matter. We are just stating that bitching about it constantly is pointless because the Hornets aren't going to make new fans this season. Hopefully, the Pelicans will be able to do that next year

the addition of Fox Sports N.O. will hopefully help. there is absolutely no doubt about that. however just because in years past some on the north shore weren't able to watch every game on TV isn't really an excuse. the team is basically in their backyard! lol

the bigger issue to me is OUTSIDE of NOLA. I'm mainly talking about around the BR area. I'm willing to bet that about 90% of my friends are sports fans and literally maybe 2 or 3 of them have ever attended a Hornets game. I have friends who live in BR and have season tickets with the Voodoo, but could give two shits about the Hornets. its sad to me that we have the NBA in our backyard and most sports fans in the state could careless. the "football and football only" mentality around here is downright annoying at times.

not true at all man lol. if anything the buzzfest event before most home games offers some of the cheapest beer and food in the entire NBA.

again - the Hornets organization is consistently in the top 3 cheapest tickets in the entire NBA. they offer outstanding package deals as well.

Cool beans man. Gratitude for the help, I really desire to follow in your very desirable footsteps. Stay hand with the bickering, that's not what this thread is about, damn.

Yeah that is true.

I really don't know how to improve attendence. Guess that's why I am a pilot, not a business planner

No it's not. But you're the one who had to interject your little jabs in the first place. Remember?

Football is much easier to make an hour drive once a week on Sundays. Its much more difficult to do that on weekdays multiple times a week. I made a couple of games this year, but I'm a 20 year old college student and don't have the resources that some people do.

That being said, I really hope the rebrand can help attract more fans outside of New Orleans and get people more motivated to make those trips

This is the way i'm seeing it, not an excuse to be made because as a student I went to 5 games this year. 3 of them were from school discounts also with classmates.

collectively, this is a "football country". We put a ton of emphasis into football from high school onto pros. You have to remember in the million people in the new orleans area, including kenner, metairie, belle chasse, gretna, etc. there's 70k of them that buy tickets to go see the saints games and there's a good bit of them who don't want to spend the extra money on season tickets for hornets due to time restraints and they know they can't go to all the games. I know what you're saying, there's weekend packs, etc. But its just them maybe alloting "x" amount of money on sports a year in their budget.

Also take into account the poverty of this city, most of the sports fans rather sit at home and save $100 for him/her and their 3 friends and just grab a box of chicken or pizza for $20 and chill.
