I'm not asking for a diamond.
Babbitt is a worthless player. He provides nothing on the court, and nothing as an asset outside of a money filler in a trade if needed, which anyone could do.
We found 3 guys just last year that were assets to us.

Again, we already know Babbitt isn't an asset in any way, so what's the point of keeping him? Even if whoever replaces him doesn't give us anything, did we lose anything in that risk? There are 5 guys on the SL team that i'd rather on the team than Babbitt, and that's without seeing a SL game.

You're a fricking moron who brings nothing to any discussion you join. You take every critique to the absolute extreme to try to make your point, but you just end up sounding like a jackass who can't be objective.

Exhibit A.

Go frick yourself, and have fun downvoting every post i ever make, dumbfrick.

Explain to me why you think Babbitt has more worth to this team than a guy that plays well in the SL and is young?

I'll downvote anything you say just based on how you talk on other boards. Making a damn fool out of yourself.

The best part is that you assumed I had downvoted you. Newsflash: Nobody likes you. I did go ahead and toss in my downvote, bringing your total to 4.

Babbitt has actually shown the ability to hit shots in NBA games. He has holes, but he can also do some things that he doesn't get credit for. Go back and watch the game against the Knicks last year where he guarded Carmelo. He actually did a damn fine job minimizing Melo's effect on the game. Can he shut down Lebron? No, but there are maybe 3 guys in the NBA that can consistently bother Lebron.

The summer league is typically less competitive than the d league. Guys show out in the summer league every year only to end up playing in a lower league in Europe.

Luke has also improved his overall offensive game quite a bit recently

He can also pass pretty decently

It seems like this board would rather give a spot to a SL guy than Babbitt because the unknown is so alluring

Am I dreaming or were you clamoring for hungry, prove it guys?

Honestly, skill set wise, what do you think is the difference between Babbitt and those guys? You said it yourself with a guy like Frazier, there are 10 more Frazier's. You're telling me there aren't 10 Luke Babbits? Babbitt doesn't see the court half the time, and when he's in the game, it's never of importance. How many teams in league could he play on? He's a D League player, essentially

In the past you've clamored for giving Inglis, stokes, Ennis etc a shot. You want upside guys, or no? Are there 10 guys like Frazier or no? I just can't keep up with what you really want

Again - I don't care. I think they all will be Sum Zero's. And I won't come on here and overreact if they choose whatever they choose for spots 14 and 15. That is my whole point. Who is better- Babbitt or Minnerath? My answer is: Who cares? Neither will make a difference. So, just accept whoever they choose and don't make a big deal over the choice. The difference between the 400th best player in the world and the 800th is so minuscule that it is not worth getting worked up about, yet every year people freak out when we don't sign some Summer League hero

Oh, I have seen a melt every year dating back to the Denzel Bowles year. I saw people upset we didn't sign Jon Brockman too. Patric Young, and on and on, and on.

Just trying to get out in front of it this year. My guess is Minnerath and Cat Barber are clamored for. Maybe one big too, who some people swear is "better than Asik and Ajinca!"

It's coming, but maybe we can slow it down a bit

DraftExpress had an interesting piece out today where they looked at what has translated from summer league to the NBA over the last 10-15 years and scoring had almost no correlation

Rebounding and assists, however, were good predictors of how a guy would fare in the NBA
