Barnes and Ezeli just cost themselves MILLIONS.

Neither looked good and they did probably cost themselves a ton of money. Barnes will still get major bucks though. I just don't know who we can sign, if we don't get him. We have had this massive hole on the wing for years and we just can't fill it. Nobody in the draft fits, where we are going to be selecting. FA is shallow and we are going to overpay no matter who we pick up. I guess I better just get ready for a S. Hill or M. Harkless type of signing...

Barnes is better than many in this thread think (his defensive ability/flexibility is undersold drastically here), but he's no way near a max guy.

I'd much rather have Hill or Harkless or Rush for 2/3 years at $6-$9M (if possible??) annually than Barnes at 4 and ~$20M annually. And I'd be very happy with two of three guys in that tier for the same $$ as Barnes.

Now I do think GS is likely to match- he is 20% part of the lineup that just blitzed the league and was about 60 seconds from capping the greatest season of all time. Shitty finish for him, but he's not a bum
