All Barnes seems to do for the Warriors is take uncontested threes and uncontested dunks. Granted that's his role on a stacked team but doesn't bode well for the future when some dumb team throws money at him and expects him to be a 2nd scoring option. Is he suddenly going to learn to take guys off the dribble or play with his back to the basket? He's a three and D guy and paying him to do anything more is stupid.

You are a buffoon. Regardless of your opinions of LeBron as a man, he can shut down any player on the opposing team, 1-5. He's like a 5 or 6 timer on the 1st team all defensive unit.
He hasn't guarded Barnes though, so idk why that was even brought up

I would definitely call James an elite defender. He has been NBA All-Defensive First Team many times before. The media has been looking to get other players awards for years other than Lebron also. Lebron many times gets judged against his own past history and not the players that are being considered.

Lebron CAN be an elite defender when he wants to but he plays in the East and is on the other side of his peak. He definitely coasts a lot every season and even the post season this year. He also is so active offensively that it makes it a bit hard to be a shut down guy every game.
When he wants to though, he absolutely can play elite defense. Not shut down every 1-5 though. Thats some casual fan nonsense.

Exactly. We're still digressing, though. Lebron isn't focusing all of his defensive might on Harrison Barnes. Barnes is sucking eggs as the 4th option at best on offense. Whose man do you think is sagging to help turn the Splash brothers?

The ugly side to this is that Durant to Golden State probably just became much more likely as I think the whole "pay Barnes and Ezeli for synergy purposes" just got scrapped by the GS FO.
