Order isn't drastically important. But of your 3, you want to make sure 1 or 2 would be available for pels at 8.

But give me a one sentence recap of what you think this player's skills are and how it fits and/or helps the team either short term or longer term.

Jalen Duren
Highest ceiling of our group of prospects imo. Reminds me so much that freak athlete Bam. Helps not as much early as some others but I care about getting the best player in this draft from our spot on.

Johnny Davis
I think Willie will love him. Gives a shite rating at a 10. To be your teams only offense creator well also being the defender he is. Love that he has the ability to handle the ball, cause for all the dribbling drills you can do once drafted it’s something for a young player to already be able to handle the rock and finish at the rim and middle range. Love his game. Like Josh Hart with better offense.

Jeremy Sochan
Love his potential to be lockdown defender. Think a more front court version of Herb. Euro so his a willing passer. He also rates high on the give a shite meter. I see him being a super glue role player like a Draymond if he hits.

Benedict Mathurin: lights out shooter who could provide a spark of offense from the bench or at the end of games when we need more offense.

Dyson Daniels: facilitator and wing defender with length who can work well without the ball in his hands and play Robin to Herb’s batman on defense.

And one wild card who could fall:
Shaedon Sharp: elite athlete who could grow into a star.

Jaden Ivey (trading up after Sacramento doesn't take him at 4)

Sochan (even though i don't like taking a PF or C, i will always be happy about bringing in guys that hustle their arse off, and i do think he can become a decent set shooter, and that's all we really need from anyone we add to this team, hustle and shooting)

Ochai (moving down in the draft, and i feel like if you move down you try to take a guy with a high floor, and i think Ochai has one of the highest floors, lower cielings)

Seems like he is falling and Williams is overtaking him in a lot of mocks.

1. Sharpe. Don't think he'll be there but he has unlimited potential.

2. Davis. I think he has Harden-lite vibes in terms of his playmaking and he should translate defensively. He'll help the second unit and possibly become CJ when CJ hangs it up in a few years.

3. Mathurin. I'm starting to warm up to him more but he's like a slightly older version of Sharpe who didn't seem to be on his way to hitting that unlimited potential, which is fine (and likely better than where Sharpe ends up, honestly). Has to commit to D though

Sochan- So versatile on defense think he could fit perfectly

Davis- Go watch him versus Houston in November. Watching it live, it was like a dream. Kids a natural baller and will be great wherever he goes

Duren- So young and do not feel Memphis was his best showcasing but he’s an absolute stud who we could develop to backup C and eventually replace JV when needed

Duren. We need a banger who can play the pick and roll behind JV. The whiff with Hayes needs to be corrected and this is the spot

Nance is a good player and he should get minutes at PF; but we need a young prospect to develop

Sochan. Defense.

Everyone else in our range seem very similar to one another

Big defensive wing is something I’d be interested in with potential of improving their shot. Guys who will be able to guard multiple positions since we switch on defense every time is very important.

Guys like Daniels and Sochan fit that bill.

I’ll go a little different and pick Dieng as my third guy because of his size, improved perimeter shot (needs tweaking but easy for Vinson to fix), handle for a guy his size, and defensive potential. Has a good frame to put on more weight as well.

Sochan: Assuming Pels think he can eventually do I solid job on D vs "5s" (excluding Jokic & Embiid of course, since we will never have anybody that can ever cover those 2 by themselves) His "O" will be sufficient & hopefully improve, since we don't really need much "O" out of him with CJ, BI and Zion & even Trey & an improving Herb. Worst case, he stands in the corner & shoots 33/34% from 3.

Daniels: If we think Sochan CAN'T hold his own vs the "5s"...gotta go with the "high ceiling"

Sharpe ???: OK, nevermind. Who am I kidding? And as Melvin Udall said, "Go sell crazy someplace else...we're all stocked up here !!"

Sharpe - won't be there but the talent is undeniable. I worry about his "give a shite" meter tho.

Daniels - already played pro basketball, facilitator, high ceiling. Not worried about his shot at all.

Mathurin - we need guys who can score and shoot, so natural fit.

I wanted to list Davis, but he scares me bc the Wisconsin/Big 10 pedigree. Can't think of too many recent Big 10 players in the league who have had great NBA careers other than Draymond. The fit otherwise is great bc he's an off-ball guy who can thrive with players like BI, Zion, CJ etc. Obviously he's got the right competitive nature.

(1) Dyson Daniels - lengthy combo guard, great point of attack and help defense, connective passing, secondary ballhandler, shooting potential

(2) Ben Mathurin - athletic wing with efficient 3 level scoring, very good shooter, creates own shot, explosive athlete, good motor

(3) Jeremy Sochan - long versatile defensive oriented combo forward, great motor, shite talker, point of attack defense, underrated passing, decent playmaker for size, stretch potential

*Assuming Keegan Murray and Sheadon Sharpe are already taken.

Johnny Davis and Sochan are my top 2 for sure. Unsure of a 3rd guy I really want. I think we need to keep the culture going of young guys who are dogs that play defense, which both of them are. Davis is probably my #1 because he is a scorer, can learn to shoot, is clearly a hustler and hard worker, and definitely defends well. He'd be a great fit.

I'd be down for a Mathurin pick if we could get him to be defensively committed, and I just have no idea if he would bring it on that end. He's definitely the shooter the team needs, but I want hustle/defensive committment first and foremost.

I like a lot of the players others have listed. I think the only 2 I am not really interested in are Duren and Johnny Davis.

I don’t get the point of Duren with Jax on the roster and I’m really worried about Davis lack of athleticism.

But truth be told, as long as we don’t do something absolutely retarded like flip Graham and 8 for pick 25 or something. I think I’ll be okay.

A lot of interesting prospects. It’s going to come down to development. I do rather a guy who can shoot already so maybe they can play a role or fit a shooting 3’s or FT lineup day 1 at least.

Sharpe: Doubtful that he'll be there, but has a very high ceiling. Potential on both sides of the ball. His potential is of a prototypical wing scoring superstar (athletic explosion, shooting, ball handling, etc...)

Sochan: Great defender, ideally can defend 3-5, I don't believe his shot is as bad as his % would indicate, and has shown the ability to facilitate a bit on offense as well. If he pans out, I think he'd be the perfect compliment to Zion in the front court.

I'm not sure who I would have as my third. One of Davis, Daniels, or Mathurin.

I was pretty high on Griffin initially, but have cooled on him lately. Doesn't really give much on defense, curious if his injury concerns are in his past, too.

My 3 would be Sharpe, Ivey, Mathurin.

Worst case scenario they are all gone and the next 3 up would be Daniels, Davis, Sochan in no specific order.

I wouldn't take that into consideration at all. You have your top 8 already settled, we saw that in the playoffs. Jaxson and Graham will get minutes too until they are traded. That's 10 established guys and then there's Kira. He may not have panned out yet, but he wasn't considered a reach at 13, he has the potential to be a good player still.

I'd love whoever we draft to be such a bad arse that he cracks the rotation by January, but I just don't see it happening. We desperately needed Trey's shooting earlier in the year and Willie wouldn't play him. He wasn't ready yet, and he played 3 years of college.
