Who is this guy? Why I still he suddenly playing like a competent, clutch guard? All we got was glass knees and "pretty good." I can't stand him

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I know our medical staff must be dog shite but he's suddenly the picture of health. Anderson hasn't been as cool either since he left. I saw him thuggin'

Gordon never wanted to be here .. acted like a bitch about it

Anderson liked it here (I guess), but decided on his own to be LeBron James every time he touched the ball

It's on management and coaches to talk these guys out of being idiots and buying in to the team

He's a good bench player that wants to be paid like a starter. That was our mistake

I don't think I could bare his whiny face with Cousins also. Not enough room.

It's hard to watch them be better players as soon as they're on another team. I'm convinced Jrue will be an all-star again if he leaves, but just be average if he stays.

I'm putting the blame on our coaching staff for not getting the most out of these players.

Ryan was very good for us - he was the only guy you could count on to hit a crucial 3 or put up 25-30 points in a game when AD was injured or had an off night. Ryno was my favorite Pel.

This is odd considering the Rockets lost and he was a -25.

He played the same this year as last year if not a little worse. The only difference is he came off the bench and played more games in Houston. The press ate it up and started all the smoty talk which is undeserved.

Yea, statistically he's pretty much had the same season in Houston as he's had in New Orleans, he just stayed healthy. Anderson shot a bit better from 3, but he's practically the same, too. People act like they went to Houston and started playing a lot better, and that just isn't the case.

Dude was 100% injured all the time, never played hard, and never really liked New Orleans. Now that he is in Houston, he now does a complete 180 and never gets injured and is happy and is a decent guard? Dead fricking serious, but Eric Gordon can go frick himself in the arse. Straight up prick.

Eric Gordon and his knees are ho. But besides that, they are role players there. Here they were counted on to be the go to guys. Much better as role players.

At first glance his stats look the same... but they're not.

2pt fg% is his highest since 2011.

His 3pt% is slightly less than in New Orleans, but he's taking between 3-5 more 3's per game in Houston in less minutes per game, and he's taking them from longer distances in Houston. So his percentage is slightly lower, but he's talking more difficult shots by design with the Rockets whereas he was only shooting spot-up open 3's in New Orleans.

He's averaging more points in Houston than he has in New Orleans since 2012.

His eFG% is the highest it's been since his rookie season.

And his defense has been pretty good.

He's just been a really good player and I have nothing but good things to say about him this season.

Here is a snippet of an article from January about how the Rockets shoot long 3's by design:

quote:

Gordon leads the NBA with 114 three-pointers made between 25 and 29 feet, per NBA.com stats.

Harden isn’t too far behind, having nailed 92, and Anderson is next up with 73 deep triples. Along with Curry, Harden, Anderson, and Gordon hoist three of the four most attempts in the league from that range.

Houston puts him in a better role having him take a lot more 3's and less midrange shots, but otherwise he is pretty much the same player. Advanced stats bear that out. Not to say he hasn't been a good player for you all as Morey/D'Antoni had a much better plan to use his talents and the training/medical staff has done a great job.

Yes, the system that he's in is different than what the Pelicans ran, but he's the same player.
