*Not the best odds but the best fit.

1) LAL (19.9% Lottery Odds)
2) NOP (11.9%)
3) BOS via Nets (15.6%)
4) MIN (6.3%)
5) PHI (25% + 2.8% from Kings)
6) WAS (.7%)
7) HOU (NONE)
8) PHO (8.8%)
9) IND (NONE)
10) POR (1%)

Poor Anthony Davis. He's one of the five best players in the league, but so far, general manager Dell Demps & Co. haven't figured out how to surround him with a supporting cast that propels the team into contention.

Simmons would change all of that, quickly. His passing ability would open up Davis' offensive game. You know Alvin Gentry -- who helped craft the Steve Nash-centric offense in Phoenix and the Stephen Curry-centric offense in Oakland -- can build systems around high-IQ basketball players who know how to pass.

A Davis-Simmons combo on the front line would be one of the scariest in the NBA. Getting the ball out of the hands of Tyreke Evans is an added bonus. And Simmons' being at LSU makes him a bit of a local hero.

Unless we have a total GM overhaul that quickly hires a new coach, this team is fricking dog shite.

Just some of the reasons why we should be tanking this year to get the best odds we can to get Simmons.

Add Simmons, get rid of Tyreke, if Anderson and Gordon doesn't fit in the plans, package them and acquire a pick for added depth and bring in a shooter that will knock down open looks from Simmons.

I don't see how Simmons is going to be a star quickly with zero jump shot.

Simmons in a Pels uniform is wishful thinking. Only chance is to have that magic #1 ping pong ball pulled. (Which is possible) but still wishful thinking.

No trade involving Ben Simmons landing in New Orleans ends with AD still in New Orleans. Period. If you think other wise your crazy and blind.

It's nice to think about but the Pels better come up with a plan A to improve this teams defense with out killing the offense cause rolling the dice and counting on percentages aint a plan.

He'll develop that over time. He's already near elite with all his other intangibles. He would pair well with AD and Jrue. I think by year 3, a Simmons and AD led time would be making a deep push in the playoffs.

The only 2 teams ahead of the Pels that have a reason to fight for wins more than ping pong balls are the Jazz and the train wreck Kings. Short of an AD injury this team will either make or just miss the playoffs. On the plus side, with the East being so strong this season, finishing 9th in the West would probably put the Pels at the 10th pick or better.

Unfortunately Ingram is a pipe dream unless AD ends up having to sit for an extended period of time. Too bad because he would be an awesome fit for the Pelicans and I think he will be a star. I fear that if the Jazz don't get healthy in a hurry, we end up taking the 8th seed and are knocked out of contention for the few potential impact players in the draft.

don't see him as the best fit with Harden and Durant. He'll need the ball a lot more than he would get it in CC.

me too.
he might be only 6'4" but that wingspan makes him a little more Dwayne Wade like.
