Want Asik over him every time.

That didn't happen last year in Houston. They had Harden and Parsons and that's about it. Lin was pretty mediocre last season.

I'm not in favor of the trade because I have no faith that Monty knows how to space the floor. Anderson does that for him.

It benefits both teams, but you guys get the better value out of the trade.

Ryno on that contract is more worthwhile than Asik on his. Ryno also spaces the floor for dwight/harden and does the same for AD/reke.

Ryno, if recovers fine, is untouchable unless you're giving us a more well rounded C that can do both defend and score. even if it is 10/10

If you're not adding Asik to the big rotation it's a lateral move that helps a division rival balance their roster with a value contract. That's why we always said "only if you thrown in Chandler Parsons too." which Houston of course wouldn't do. There really isn't a price both teams would find agreeable in a 2 team deal.

Well then do whatever you want with the cap space. Save it for 2015 and sign Asik or even make a run at Marc Gasol. It just seems like the cap space is more likely to lead to an impact starter(s) than the #16ish pick.

Certainly. The way the league is bonkers over 1sts, I agree.

I just don't know if cashing it out for ages 30-34 of Gortat and contract year Ariza is a good enough return.

That said, the FA crop is putrid this summer so I don't have any real FA alternatives.

Best bet may be sitting tight and trying to stay flexible for 2015. By all means, dump Gordon if possible this summer. But don't worry about having to save money now for FA.

Not terribly sexy, but I really think they can be in the playoffs with heath and coaching adjustments.
