Gordon for Pekovic would be huge but would never happen with the likelihood of Love walking.

Negative. Anderson is a better player on a better contract.

That's actually not bad if you had some draft picks thrown in for Minnesota. I really think it would be wise for us to not get attached too attached to the 2015 1st round pick. I just see more opportunity to package it for either a player or cap space than I think the #16 pick in 2015 will become our Kawhi Leonard.

Would you rather

2015 1st

or

Dump Gordon using 1st (Charlotte) + Sign Gortat + Sign Ariza

Can already see Monty pushing Ariza to pump fake and drive off the 3 pt line already. Nightmare flashbacks!

I agree. I think we will use it to try and move Gordon.

No way they give up Corey Brewer and Kevin Love. Especially since Gasol is on the last year of his contract.

How do you measure "better". Asik is great on defense and not great on offense. Anderson is great on offense and not great on defense.

And it depends on team needs. Anderson is a PF. Davis is also a PF. So unless you don't plan on getting a real center and plan on pushing Davis to the center spot when Anderson is on the floor so that they can both be useful at the same time, it doesn't make sense to keep Anderson.

Plus, what the Pelicans lack is defense. Asik and Davis front court would be filthy.

And as far as contracts, the cap hits are almost exactly the same.

I think it is a good trade for both teams.

I'll take the first over that haul

One year of Asik for $15M total v 2 years of Anderson for $17M

Otherwise you're spot on about their respective values

It's better for Huston. If we do the trade teams would double Davis and Asik would clog the paint for Tyreke, Jrue, and AD to drive to the lane.

I think we should do Gordon for Mcgee they may be more inclined since Gordon has a PO and Mcgees is guaranteed and they need a sg. As long as they don't ever pass Mcgee the ball we should be ok and that would be a long arse front court.

That never happened in Houston when Asik was on the floor.

How is it any different from now? Don't teams double Davis?
