No contracts are actually needed. Both teams have TPEs to cover all players involved.

It is probably because Toronto doesn't want to pay the extra 5 million for a shitty team.

For this trade to happen Banks had to be involved for the money to work, not to take him off Toronto's hands

I don't like making trades when everything is going as well as it is (best record in the league). You are messing with the team chemistry, and doesn't sound like a great trade for the hornets anyway. They should just keep Peja for the rest of the year if he keeps hitting 3's like he is. Thats a good role for him on this team

The chemistry argument doesn't hold water. Peja has been useful in a few games but he isn't really part of the regular rotation and Bayless hasn't fit in all that well. We are breaking Peja's apparently untradeable contract into smaller contracts that could still be used at the deadline and cap space that allows us to use our trade exception. Again if this trade happens it says Peja has no trade value, not that Demps is crazy.
