Hopefully you dont believe that.

If only he would have done the sign and trade with Phoenix when Gordon wanted to sign there. I really think that caused nearly every mistake after that
It caused us to have to give Lopez and Vasquez away to afford Tyreke. With no Lopez, we had to trade a 1st for Tyreke. With Gordon on the roster, our guard position was overloaded, forcing Tyreke to play 3 and Rivers to be without a clear position to try and fit into (something he talked about on Woj podcast)
If I could go back in time, I make him do that trade and I think everything would have went much better from that point forward

Actually, that offer was on the table. It was the one Dell wanted but CP3 wasn't willing to opt into year 2 and so the Warriors backed out

Wanna see something funny? Here is my piece on how the Hornets were ranking the assets as the offers were coming in (Curry was #1). Now, look at some of the comments below. Including someone saying none of those guys are worth CP3. Just 5 years ago, Curry and Klay were... meh. Thats crazy

Sure, but it begs the question- why go after Evans if you aren't able or willing to move Gordon? Along the same lines, why give up your starting 5 for another ball dominant guard when you swear publicly that Davis is a 4?
To me, Demps got too cute with these moves and "collecting assets." Letting Gordn go to PHX would have helped, but the problem is deeper than just one bad decision.

This was the issue, Paul wanted LA. Dell was in a bind because he needed to get a kings ransom, but Paul held control.

Picks a draft year not 2012.....

Dell never in a million years could pull off such a trade

TBH so many things would've been different. First off, we probably don't get AD. Secondly, I don't believe Steph and Klay would do as great in with any other team because their type of play fits Golden State's offense perfectly

This teams medical staff would have Grant Hill'd Steph's career. Don't forget his ankle issues were a huge knock on him.

Steph and Klay didn't really hit their stride until AD's rookie year, plus that first year post CP3 was always going to be a tank year, so things probably work out the same.

at this point I'd rather have Thompson and curry than davis

yeah, so would the whole league...hindsight is 20/20 though.
two top 3 guards at their respective positions, both still relatively early prime, and one is a MVP...I mean who wouldn't?

Ohhh yeah. I had curry/wright and gordon/Minny with a huge frick no to bogut.

This.
The Paul return was actually very good. Gordon, a recent lottery pick, a large expiring, and an unprotected 1st from one of the worst franchises in the league.
It went to absolute shite, but that was as good as you can get for a star w/ 2 years left on the contract

Trading 2 first for Jrue
Gordon's contract

None of those trumps a quality backup PG and a quality starting C for Tyrec when you already have Gordon and Holiday.

So, Daddy Stern declined a shite trade and we ended up with 2, 3, and 7 instead of a grab bag of honorable mention plus non-mention.
