According to Aldridge Denver wants an expiring plus a 1st for Gallinari or Chandler

Not sure if the pick they want is this years but wondering if a 2019 1st + Jones coupled with the exception could get us either (Gallinari preferably)?

ETA: not possible - would need another player or two in deal and we don't have anyone they would want

Would love to get gallinari, but I'm not giving up a first to get him for the next 2 months, unless by getting him it would allow us to sign both he and jrue in the off-season.

I'd be ecstatic to get gallinari, Chandler, or Barton, but I can't see Denver trading with us this year.

Denver isn't dumb. They don't think the eighth seed is the be all end all. If they can improve their treasure chest and it costs them the 8th seed, they would do it. But they can probably get better offers on all three guys from other teams

KCP supposedly available for trade. Don't think we can afford him, but perimeter D with him and Jrue would be nasty.

If nothing else materializes, I'm sure we can always take advantage of the Kings again. They have way more guards than they can play (especially post-Pels trade), and only have TOlliver and Skal at PF (not that winning games is one of their goals for the rest of the season).

Current Kings guards, excluding the 3 that we sent them:
-Aaron Afflalo
-Darren Collison
-Ty Lawson
-Ben McLemore
-Garrett Temple

While SG is the bigger need, I would gladly take Collison back. Would Terrance Jones and the trade excpetion for Collison work?

The reason he is available is because Detroit knows Brooklyn will throw a max at him this summer. Still want him?

Kings have no interest in Terrance Jones and his agent has no intention of him going to the Kings after the Boogie fiasco. Jones is most valuable as rental for a contender up against the tax.

What's your prediction on the roster post trade deadline? I've seen you throw a few names around, but just interested to see if you've heard anything else.

I am realistic. Said we can't afford him. Think he would be great with Jrue, but I know we aren't going deep into luxury tax.

The plan is to get one via trade and one via workout. They don't want the guy they get via trade to have long term salary unless he is a B/B+ type of player, which would mean parting with a pick

Most likely, they get a C/C- guy on an expiring and then one of these workout guys but Dell is working a ton right now and Ferry is helping. They are willing to be a third team, willing to get into bigger deals, etc. they are busting their butts

Am I sensing a bit of a positivity in the front office from you?!

Has this been reported, or is this speculation due to Jones not being included in the trade?

Good point, I didn't Jones and Boogie share the same agent.

True. A Jazz blog brought up a potential Jones for Shelvin Mack trade, as Favors has been banged up, and Lyles has disappointed this season. Seems like it would make sense for both sides.

With the limited assets we have to trade, someone like KCP is way out of our league.

As I said in my post, I don't think we can afford him, but wouldn't it be fun. Though I do think we may be able to put assets together to get him if we mortgage the future but only because of what Crewz said, anyone who trades for him is going to have to give him the max and that is going to depress his trade value.
