Q-Pon: 40.9%(52/127)

Cole: 38.8%(21/54)

Compare that to 23.3% and 26.5% prior

Didn't grantland (?) have a story about how AD was getting people open looks that they "didn't deserve?" Though that doesn't explain Cole's shooting, since he gets relatively few minutes with AD.

Whatever it is, props to Dell. I really hope that we keep him around with out (fingers crossed) new coach.

Would have never been traded if he had done this in Memphis

Yea, he's been really solid for the Pels.

Thanks for coaching him up and turning him into a quality role player. Not being sarcastic.

No doubt. He'll make a great assistant coach in charge of player development one day.

I'm sorry, I still blame Dell for not having guys like this on the roster at the beginning of the season.
Dell & Monty are a package deal in my mind, either dump them both or give them both one more year with what I now consider a Western Conference playoff worthy roster.

A PG better than Rivers wasn't available? I mean, that's not asking for a lot tbh.

Wasn't possible

And It's not a package deal in my mind. I have confidence dell can find a good HC.

He wasn't playing that terrible to start the year

A backup PG wasn't really needed when Tyreke/Jrue/EG were all healthy. That's obviously changed since then.

It turned out okay, but that's a weird way of looking at it. There wasn't a wing better than Babbitt or Miller available? They couldn't have found someone other than Salmons?

Cunningham wasn't available. Neither was Qpon until the trade. I don't know who else was out there.

They were turned down by Alan Anderson and Richard Jefferson. Not that those are big names, but part of the problem was only havving $2.7 million to work with, possibly only the $2 we gave Salmons if my $75 million payroll theory is accurate. Cole and Pondexter were both trade filler, it's not like Rivers for Pondexter or Salmons for Cole would ever have happened as 1 for 1 swaps for #basketballreasons. Now choosing Miller and Salmons over Casspi seems like a reasonable criticism, although it's unclear who didn't want who when it comes to Casspi and how he ended up getting waived.

There were other guys out there besides Anderson and Jefferson that were also better than Salmons.

Sitting tight on the wing was a risky play. I give Demps credit for finding help without giving anything up. But it was a large gamble to roll into this season that way. He had no way of knowing he would get a QPon/Cole type. They couldn't even give Rivers away this summer. Again, good moves in season, but I'm not a fan of the desperation necessitating those moves
