Continuum is very, very good. It's polished, it's tasteful, the music is excellent. Stop this Train incredible lyrically; Slow Dancing..., Belief, I don't Trust Myself With Loving You, Vultures, Gravity... These will all be listened to 20+ years from now and still sound good. It's a classic to me, or will be in the future.

People have the right to their own opinions though. Again, you can dislike Mayer or him not be your cup of tea, but he is extremely talented.

This is as cookie-cutter and sterile as adult contemporary music gets. Where's the justification for all the acclaim?

I certainly don't hear it. Musicianship?
This is the kind of music people brainlessly clap their hands to in a pathetic attempt to "feel" it. It's also the kind of album fans of it will look back on in 10 years and ask of themselves: "I liked THAT?

These guys don't play music. Maybe learned wish you were here or sweet home Alabama on their 150$ ibanez. Will never understand what goes into producing an album, and damn sure wont prove it to me with credentials if they object.

No, but I like 2-3 songs by them. Fix You isn't a bad song. The Scientist and Sparks are solid as well. All of the stuff they've done recently is pretty shitty.

No.

No, however I think they are trashed way too much. Talented musicians in that group. They aren't Nickelback.

Fix you is a great pop song. These people are afraid they're friends will call them gay because they like one Coldplay song. It's getting pathetic.

All of these guys know their shite, they just have a different opinion on the guy. They all said he's talented.

Phish does nothing for me personally, but I'd be an idiot to say they aren't gifted.

Dude said Isbell is better than Mayer on guitar. That's not objective.
