I can't say I have a favorite. I generally change the channel anytime a female singer comes on. There seems to be a big push in country music right now to get women singers equal air time on the radio. Most of them are atrocious.

If I had to pick, I'd have to say Suzy Bogguss or Sara Evans.

Sade or Sarah McLachlan as far as voice.
Chrissie Hynde has always had a cool style for being kind of dorky.

Probably Joan Baez. The guitar work on "Diamonds and Rust" is some of the best you will ever hear.

Can't pick just one.

Natalie Merchant, Emmylou Harris, Allison Krauss, and Billie Holliday are my favorites.

That Australian fricking kills it. Her performance at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club is a thing of beauty.

Vocals: Lily Allen
Guitar: Corrin Tucker
Guitar: Kathleen Hanna
Bass: Kim Deal
Drums: Janet Weiss
General Just Being Cool: Kim Gordon and Joan Jett

I'd also probably find a slot for Liz Phair.

I know I will catch shite for this....but right now?....

Taylor Swift

I dig her stuff...that 1989 album is pretty impressive...the crossing of genres so successfully, the creativity and songwriting ability...the voice.....the showmanship.....she will go down in musical history as one of the great's imho

don't be too harsh....
