When bands go all political on their fans and music?

I've always wondered if there was an album specifically aimed at some kind of STRAIGHT political concept. Not conspiracy theories (i.e. Megadeth's th1rt3en album) or any kind of speculative nonsense. The only one I can really think of off the top of my head is Linkin Park's abortion of an album, "A Thousand Suns."
Obviously there are some out there, but does anybody not just hate it? I will say, and it came out very recent, Parkway Drive's new album totally rocks. But otherwise, does it not immediately turn you off to a band?

Since my politics are left leaning, it usually doesn't bother me..
And I don't particularly care for Ted Nugent, regardless of politics..

Yep, US foreign policy is a huge part of their focus. They are particularly hard on the denial by US politicians to acknowledge the Armenian genocide. That goes for most Armenian musicians and artists.

I enjoy the left leaning political music. But I know how you feel. When I was young and first realized Merle Haggard was singing about right wing stuff, it kind of threw me.

It doesn't really bother me as much as it does others I guess. I lean right but I really enjoyed American Idiot and most Bad Religion albums despite our political differences.

I generally ignore it. Being a libertarian leaning guy I'd have to practically stop listening to music if I didn't want to hear leftist politics

Most of the punk I grew up with in the late 70s through the 80s had a political bent (Dead Kennedys, etc).
It's got to be pretty far out there for me to get offended by it, no matter what side it's on. I'll listen to 'Okie From Muskogee' and 'Killing In The Name' back to back and be completely happy.

I don't let it bother me when it's in the lyrics of songs. However when you're at a live show and the band gets all political preachy to the audience is really annoying to me, regardless of which way they are leaning.
