I'm confused. Is this thread supposed to be songs about rain or good rain songs? Just because you use an umbrella to protect yourself from rain does not make Rhianna's song "Umbrella" a good rain song.

Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain - Willie Nelson version (written by Fred Rose, originally cut by both Roy Acuff and a few years later Hank Williams)

I see Songs About Rain by Gary Allan popped into your head as well

Raindrops Keep Fallin on My Head - BJ Thomas (from Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid)

I will forever associate this song to the LSU vs Oregon State game. The first time I ever saw the tigers play and during the rain delay sitting in the stands hearing this song and laughing at the multitude of streakers

I can't believe "Rain" by The Cult took until the 2nd page to be mentioned.

That one and the one below are my 2 rain favorites:

Blissful ecstasy in a parked car in the rain...

Lou Christie - Rhapsody In The Rain

This is also the uncensored version, and it has nothing to do with "We were makin' out in the rain" (see other U-tube versions for this uncensored/censored radio debate in 1966). Listen to chorus at about 1:00 and about 1:30. IMHO, that's why it's the uncensored version.

I've always loved the song - been there, done that...
