Just now getting around to checking it out.
So far, they seem to be getting back to their roots...which is a very good thing!

Listening to this album feel like I should be folding clothes or spraying cologne in Hollister. It isn't horrible but it isn't really great either. Just doesn't do much for me.

it's not like RHCP. this album is a concept album, like pinkerton was. just because there's a few mentions of california doesn't make them RHCP

the first few times I heard it I shared your opinion, but it's grown on me oddly enough. the music of the song actually is really good. the lyrics make more sense after I read rivers annotations from the song.
