There used to be a band in the late 70's called Jules and the Polar Bears. It would be hard to say that they were forgotten because very few people ever knew about them in the first place. They only made a couple of albums (and then a 3rd that got released much later) but I thought they were great.
Jules was Jules Shear who would go on to have a decent solo career, wrote some good songs (All Through the Night, If She Knew What She Wants), created and hosted MTV Unplugged and drove Aimee Mann insane.
