Probably a boring/standard pick, but don’t see how I can’t go with

There is a Light that Never Goes Out

Probably one of the most underrated bands in the last 50 years.

Johnny Marr really made them work.

Saw them at Tulane's McAlister auditorium in 1986.

I honestly don't think there is a single Smiths' song I don't like.

Fun fact: Johnny Marr was 23 when The Smiths broke up.

It still astonishes me that they never had some kind of reunion. Morrissey must despise the other members far more than he likes money. Or vice versa.

All 4 of their studio albums are amazing. Hatful of Hollow is incredible. Even Louder Than Bombs with a bunch of their B-sides is a great album.

They released 73 songs and it is really hard to find a bad one.

There is a Light that Never Goes Out tops my list as well. One of those songs that I’ll never tire of hearing.

Totally agree. Had no idea how innovative he was at the time but I get it now

You serious Clark? Must be a young un. Oh, and isn’t the band’s drummer named Mike Joyce?

Did not know that. It is sad, amazing, and pisses me off all at the same time.

I’m no rock star but I’ve been 23 years old. I was having a fricking blast. I can recall being pissed off a few times but can’t recall why. What could be so bad that you leave all that money and creativity on the table? Give things 10 years to calm down. You are a grizzled old 33. It’s the 90’s and a shite ton of kids like me would have paid good money to see them.

Morissey was having success but what did Johnny Marr do? Honestly asking. Don’t know if he had side projects. Don’t know if he could sing?

They (as a band as a whole) definitely had a too cool for school, or anything else, attitude.

Always wanted to get into The Smiths/Morissey but I'm just so scared my parents won't accept me
