GFY. Well I did get my first college pussy that weekend, but I would have likely gotten laid a palooza too.

Warren Zevon opening for the Grateful Dead in Boulder in 1980. A friend offered me his great seats. I wasn't interested.

Elton John Pittsburgh 1975. Just couldn't come up with a ticket.

iron maiden the powerslave tour

They played on a Sunday night in February of '85 on this tour at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, then three nights later at Lakefront Arena. Saw both shows and they were incredible both nights.

Sorry Geert. Couldn't resist the urge to tell it.

I think it woulda been pretty interesting to see a GG Allin show. But I woulda been kinda nervous about the possibility of being attacked by a naked maniac singer.

Nirvana: In Utero Tour December 1993. Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, AL

The band played for about 90 minutes, according to a review. Kurt Cobain thanked the audience at the end for "being so civil" and said it was "one of the best shows" they had had.

Saw that too! We took my nephew who was 3 at the time, his first concert. I've got the concert poster for it, and also have the CD of the show that the Crowes put out.

Lollapalooza 1991-2. Here in Houston. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, RHCP, Tool. Rage may have been there also?

All in their beginnings.

My friends went and I passed. As young as I was it maybe for the best. I would have been black out drunk mid festival.
