Ok, The Boss puts on a great show and has written some incredible music. Was watching JRAD do a cover of it and the found an origianl live version and also found a live The Band version. Really like all 3 versions and each artist makes it unique to their styles. Although The Band changes it up a lot more than the original. I like all 3. Thoughts on this type of topic...original artist version and covers that do The song justice. ?

Original Atlantic City by Springsteen

The Band's version Atlantic City

The style of singing on Bruce's is laughable. Sounds like someone doing a bad impression of Springsteen. The Band version is better IMO.

The Band version to me is 100x better but that may just be my style of music.

My favorite version besides The Band's is by Greensky Bluegrass

The Mulligan Brothers do a pretty decent cover of this: LINK

If you've never heard of them they're a somewhat local band with members from Louisiana and Alabama.

Springsteen should have retired Atlantic City after the band covered it. Thanks to the boss for writing it, but the band made it their song.

May be true but Bruce and that album more than make up for it on Johnny 99.

I'm a huge Boss fan but was never a big fan of the Nebraska album. However, I do like the covers you folks posted. Here's another good one.

I don't even know what to say to this. Nebraska is perfect.
