I was scrolling through this thread to see who was going to say this.

Gold Dust Woman - Fleetwood Mac
Janie's Got A Gun - Aerosmith
Darkness, Darkness - The Youngbloods (Charlie Daniels on fiddle)

Hallelujah and Lover You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley.
"Parading in a wake of sad relations, as their shoes fill up with water" - a foreshadowing of his drowning death in the Mississippi River?
He just had the ultimate haunting voice.

"Hello" by Evanescence. Amy Lee's vocals in this song are goosebump-inducing.

heard it in the varsity record store in 1985 having just enrolled at LSU and was blown away. i couldn't comprehend something that awesome.
i remember there was a hot chick with short cropped hair dyed white holding the album and i think i just stopped and stared for a good 10 seconds while the song played over the store's speakers.

It's a Beautiful Day - Girl with No Eyes
Wow, one of the few "It's a Beautiful Day" references I can remember seeing on this board. Probably the most under-rated band of their era. Saw them several times, most notably at The Warehouse in NO. Tremendous live band.
