Wow. What a show. It was incredible. They still bring it big time. I would love to know the exact amount that was made off of merchandise alone at each Maiden show. Ghost was really good too.

If Eternity Should Fail
Speed of Light
Wrathchild
Children of the Damned
Death or Glory
The Red and the Black
The Trooper
Powerslave
The Great Unknown
The Book of Souls
Fear of the Dark

Yeah at $45 a t-shirt and every merch table lined up and wrapped around, it's gotta be pretty steep. That said, they have the best merch around IMO. I ended up with the Killers album cover (always liked that album cover) t with the tour info on the back. Well worth the $45 to me. My FIL bought 3 bootleg t's outside the arena for $50 total.

That is the exact same shirt I got. I love the Killers album Eddie version.

Yep. Man, Eddie is so versatile and badass. They hit a goldmine with that. Megadeth has Vic, but can't think of any other bands mascot that comes close to Ed.

I brought my 12 year old son to the Houston show. He's a huge fan. Amazing show.

No shite; pisses me off. Texas gets 3 shows (Hou, Dal, SA), but N.O. can't get one. We have the venue(s) and they would draw La, Gulf Coast states, etc. From a laymans perspective I don't get it, but perhaps there's something I'm missing.

I met some dudes from Holland at the Hou show that were going to all 3 Texas shows. Must be nice.

They belonged in the hall of fame a long time ago, and before a lot of bands in there now. A top five all time live show. Bar none.

I don't think they've played New Orleans since the 80s or maybe early 90s. I know they came to Shreveport once in the mid 80s. Maiden is the only metal band I know that has a large number of fans follow them around. You see it a lot with jam bands like the Greatful Dead and now people follow Phish and bands like that for multiple shows in a row. I've heard of many instances of people going all over the world to follow Maiden. It really doesn't matter where they play, they will draw a crowd. Hell they even played Tulsa and now Oklahoma City in back to back years now.

For sure. I've made the decision that if they happen to tour again I will travel again to see them no doubt about it. If I can catch multiple shows in the same area on consecutive nights (like Texas, etc.), I will try to make multiple shows.

I go to a ton of shows much like you and a lot of the same ones it seems, but man I've just had a sense of joy ever since that show that I haven't had in a long time. It was absolutely amazing.
