Went to their show last night and they played a bunch of new songs... Sitting in the studio with them now listening as they tweak the new record...new stuff is outstanding. A lot more rock and roll than previous stuff. I seriously can't wait to hear them at M+W, I think they will be unbelievable in that space.

I'm starting my ultimate listening session to all their songs today! I'll have my preferred set list by 4/19

I liked 4 songs but now i will listen to every song several times. Spring time is here. I do my best listening at this time drinking beer on porch and enjoy the down time!!

Elaine, desert wind, union painter and wildflowers have always been in the playlist!

Now we can add carnival and boomtime... I'm sure it will keep growing!!

"So Long Elaine" is my favorite. New songs "Down by the River" and "Loser" are close seconds.

"Magdalene" is a GREAT song. Give that one a listen for sure. Also, "She".

Yeah, they are new ones...I basically mentioned them because your favorites are my favorites so I think those are the ones you will enjoy the most from the new album. And maybe "Teenage Renegade".

Good news is, they should play all 3 of those at M+W.

Oh, man, and "Highway Love" is awesome too. And "Simplified". New album is badass.

DRB- Highway Love (Live at Billy Bob's)

They wrote this one with Ray Wylie Hubbard and he sings on the album version:
DRB- Down by the River (Live at Billy Bob's)

DRB- Loser (Live at Billy Bob's)

Quality isn't excellent but you get the idea, at least.

I dig him and I hear he puts on a really good live show. I like his sense of humor, too.

Based off the live versions, which I'd much rather hear the record version first especially bc the clapping by the woman in the first two songs. All I could focus in on but I like in this order

Loser
Down by the river
Highway love

I look forward to the new album.

for posting that

You should book these guys, J-Dubs. They are friends of mine and their live show is incredibly high energy and fun. They play all over but have never played Louisiana (to my knowledge, anyway). I bet they would love to play M+W.

Sour Bridges- Nice and Easy

Sour Bridges- J-Train

Sour Bridges- Shelf Life (the last 45 seconds is the best part)

Robert Duvall is a fan, too! From their SXSW show at the Four Seasons last night:

The Turnpike Troubadours are fans, too.
